This takes place before Jin, Jae Eun, and Kiaria made it to the arcade. I'll tell you when it's present time.
Park Jimin,
I winced as my alarm blared loudly in my ears. I sat up, turning the annoying sound off before looking towards my phone. My lockscreen was showing a picture of me and Kiaria. We were in Honduras a few summers ago and she gave me a sweet kiss as I gave her a promise ring.
I sighed before deciding to get ready even though I want to drop on the floor and sleep. I took a shower and took care of my other necessary hygiene before getting dressed in Puma sweats.
I grabbed my essential items before grabbing a small bag of strawberries and peaches as I walked down stairs.
I made it into my car and drove to the dance studio, mentally cursing Jungkook and Hobi for wanting to the project at 5 am where there is no natural light outside yet. I turned off the car before heading inside the building while greeting the receptionist who was there during night shift.
This studio is open 24 hours just in case people really need to let out some stress or any overwhelming emotion. I used to come here a lot during the first stages of our break up.
I finally made it to the room where my friends were and walked inside without saying a word. When I walked inside, Jungkook and Hobi were dancing while Taehyung watched. He licked his lips at his boyfriend making me gag, suddenly not feeling too comfortable.
"Guys!" I projected my voice over the loud music they were dancing too. Everyone in the room jumped as my voice bounced off the walls. The music finally stopped and Hobi ran towards me giving me a bone crushing hug.
"We all thought you wasn't going to come." His voice was muffled on my neck but I heard him clearly. "Yeah I can't abandon my life because of a small break up." I shrugged, trying to hide my feelings.
Hobi studied me for a bit before giving me a small sunshine smile. I tried not to smile with him but I couldn't help it. It was adorable.
"Anyways, let's get going on the project!"
A few hours later,
I lied on the floor, sweating and panting as Jungkook finalized the dance. I was completely breathless which was strange because I would have the most energy out of all of them at the start of the dance and the end of it.
"O-okay, we're finally done." Hobi managed to choke out since it was a hard demonstration. We looked over towards where Taehyung was sitting and he was knocked out as if he was the one dancing for 3-4 hours.
Jungkook scoffed before throwing a water bottle towards his lover. He immediately jumped up in a panic before sighing, realizing that his boyfriend was the culprit.
"You're lucky I love you," Taehyung grumbled while getting out of the chair to stretch. I giggled slightly before gathering my things and walking towards the exit. "Hey!" I heard someone call out causing me to turn around.
Hobi was running towards me with a hopeful smile on his face. I automatically knew what he wanted to ask me, but every time he does I say no.
"Jiminie, come eat out with—" I declined before he could finish. "I have work tonight." I stated with nonchalance, which was true.
Taehyung and Jungkook thought that my depression was so melodramatic that I should work another job to keep me occupied.
Not going to lie, it has been working and it makes me feel better, just a little bit. I worked at an arcade where children would play on the games while teens hung around and ate from the small cafe.
You rarely see adults in there and if they are here, they are either here for birthday parties or chaperoning.
Hoseok sighed with a small pout before turning around, almost making me feel bad.
I shook my head, not wanting to be gloomy again today before walking out of the building into my car.
Next thing you know, I'm already at the arcade passing out tokens to small children and their families.
It brightened my day a bit after seeing the big goofy smiles on their faces as they played most of the games. I guess that's one reason why this job calms me down.
PRESENT TIME:
"Here's your tokens, have fun!" I told the little girl before she ran off to her parents, wanting them to walk her to an arcade game she could play. Today was a little slower than usual but then again, no one really comes on a Wednesday.
I sighed as rested my chin on my palm, waiting patiently for more customers to come in and grab some tokens so I can leave sooner. While I waited for a few moments, I heard the door open but I didn't pay too much attention to it because I was occupying myself with the token machine.
A few minutes later, I felt a presence of another so without looking up, I stated our slogan while pouring some of the tokens out of the machine. "Welcome to Choi's Amusement Arcade, where retro/vintage games never go out of style, how many tokens would you like?"
"300 tokens please." I heard a familiar voice say making me pause. I slowly looked up to see Jin looking down towards the floor, possibly admiring the floor decor. "Jin?!" I asked out of surprise.
I knew Jin through Kiaria when she would vent about her day at work and how he would have a very nasty attitude towards her. He jumped slightly hearing his name being spoken out with a certain tone. His eyes lit up slightly while a slight grin danced across his lips.
"Jimin, isn't it? Hi, how have you been these couple of years?" He asked, still having a grin on his lips. I nodded before trying to match his grin before giving him a handshake. "I heard about you and Kiaria."
I paused before dropping my smile, suddenly thinking about my ex lover. I guess he saw how depressed I became because he immediately dropped his smile and apologized frantically, not realizing how much it must have affected me since you know, I cheated.
"It's fine, anyways let me get you your tokens before I forget." I weakly laughed it off before giving him 300 tokens. "That'll be 50,000 won." Jin nodded before giving me the money and grabbing the tokens.
I really do miss Kiaria, I wish I could see her again and apologize one more time because I know she isn't going to take me back after everything.
"I mean she's here right—". Jin stopped abruptly and looked at me as if he saw a ghost.
Before I could question his strange behavior, he quickly ran off, leaving me confused.
Sorry, another filler chapter, I kinda want to stretch this as much as I can so I don't make my chapters too long. There could be some spicy things coming up next chapter.
