Omniscient,

Beep. Beep. Beep.

Kiaria's eyes open slowly to the sound of the steady patient monitor. Her eyes squint a bit, trying to adjust to the light in the hospital room. As she looks around, she notices the vast amount of rose bouquets sitting on the counter.

She smiled slightly and tried to sit up a bit until a sharp pain struck her near her abdomen, causing her to let out a small yelp. Kiaria looks down and see her lower abdomen had been bandaged.

The girl had almost forgot about the events that had took place a while ago. Her nimble fingers run over the bandage fabric softly, remembering the sudden pain she had felt when it was first injured.

Before she could reminisce even further, the room door slowly pushes open, revealing a nurse. She was tall yet petite so her uniform kind of clung on her loosely.

The nurse looked at Kiaria with shock before running away from the door threshold causing Kiaria to stare at the spot where she stood before in confusion.

After a few minutes, the same nurse came back with another nurse and a doctor. Kiaria automatically assumed that the second nurse was a senior nurse due to the different embroidery on her uniform.

"Ms. Lyni, glad to see that you are awake," the doctor exclaims with a warm smile making Kiaria do the same. "I hope you aren't in too much pain. The bullet was in there pretty deep but fortunately, it didn't cause any fatal injury."

Kiaria was going to respond but as soon as she opened her mouth to release sound, her throat burned slightly. The first nurse quickly noticed and offer to give her a glass of water.

Kiaria nodded weakly and the nurse rushed to find a chilled bottled water in the mini fridge. She opens the bottle and gives it to the latter, who drinks the chilled fluid immediately.

The girl then let out a raspy thank you before sitting the bottle down. "W-where...are..the.....others?" Kiaria asks.

The doctor looked confused until he looked over at the flowers before looking back at her. "Your friends? They were here earlier to check up on your progression. They've been here almost every day once we informed them about how you were doing better."

Kiaria nods but then freezes once she realized something.

Progression?

Every day?

The doctor notices her expression and mentally facepalms himself, mad at himself for forgetting to tell her. "Ms. Lyni, you have been out for a week due to blood loss. It confused us greatly because you were so responsive when the paramedics first brought you here."

The last bit of color on Kiaria face drains at the information. She didn't want to believe them because she feels like everything just happened a few hours ago.

"I'm sorry for not telling you as soon as I saw you. Would you like me to inform your friends of your responsiveness?" Kiaria nodded fast in response.

The nurses slightly giggled at her haste but cleared the room to inform the others.

"Anything you'd like before I go?" The doctor asks before grabbing his clipboard. "C-could you pass me the bouquets? I would like to read the cards." Her voice soft.

The doctor nodded once more before giving her the rose bouquets before leaving with a smile. Kiaria smelled the roses before reaching inside for the card. The card was from Namjoon and his family.
