The novels, the drama, the essays the rhyme
All appear in variety, some cold or grim
But many which celebrate the love and life therein.

From Adam's Sin to Belinda's scream,
From Lamb's dream to Bacon's grim,
From Marvel's coy to the Bard's sonnets,
From Blake's lyrics to Donne's Spirit.
The English Royals and the face of Nobles,
The Church and the kings of Chronicles
From Bewolf's might to the green knight,
The wheel of history and spin of words
Did encompass the beginning of us.

In the short interval of a second battle,
The heroic Macbeth resisted his Fall in vain,
So did Malvolio when all was for love in vain.
Love, life ends in marriage well,
Fantasies romantic seem so distant in them,
The novels and drama do dominate this second battle
The middle class rising, Elizabeth, kate
Gabriel did prove well in them.

The third battle yawns a close tide at dawn,
But what of the past, Bartley Fell and kurtz died at last.
Bertha betrayed and Barbara turned, was Stanley taken or Gatsby put down in haste;
The new works seem so absurd and serious the same.
The violent West winds did blow and burn down the ages,
From the ashes arose the down to earth concepts.
Man arose and explored the universe and the layers within,
With technology and art to reflect the times therein.
The Age became modern so where are we now?
New views arose, more viewpoints still,
Must all be looked from from a feminine point still?

A sigh felt in the air as we look forward in awe,
Comes in the new Age with an army of classics,
The brave Achilles along with Haddock and the rest,
Joins a steady systematic stream of study all pervading.
