Chap VII- His Painful Past

Extremely sorry for the delay

Few days later-
Everyone decided to go on a small vication

All got ready but avni& riya refused as they had lot of office work to do& aman was busy with his projects
Also they wud get some "exclusive cousins together" time

Seeing this, the elders didnt force them
They asked neil but he too refused by saying that he wasnt in the mood& will come some other time, that too if he stays here till then

Avni got a little after hearing this but didnt show it& as soon as everyone left,she entered neil's room with 2cups of coffee while he was again lost in his pool of thoughts

Coffee? said avni, breaking neil's chain of thoughts
He smiled slightly& took the cup
He was sitting on the bed while she fetched her laptop &got busy with her work
She knew he deffo didnt have a headache &was lying& it was probably bcz he wanted to stay alone for a while
She decided to give him space but cudnt leave him all by himself- she knew how vulnerable he might be feeling
She was busy in her work when he suddenly spoke something
Initially it looked as if he was again hallucinating but soon i realised that he was probably opening up or was he just speaking randomly-not bothered wheather avni listens& pays attention or not

N- i was an average student in studies at school- neither too good nor too bad& used to score good but never came in the list of high achievers
I used to give time to my studies &sports equally but was more interested in sports than studies

My dad now owns a huge business &must be a pretty successful business man by now while my mom is a housewife

Few years after my birth,my parents were planning for another child- i  was very happy that soon i will get a sis/brother to play& spend time with-unknown to the real intensions of having a sibling
Due to the time gap they took, my mom was having difficulty concieving &since we were living a middle class life& were struggling to make ends meet
We were already struggling financially &hence cudnt even adopt a baby& it wud also create unnecessary questioning by the neighbours that if they wanted another child, then what was the need of adopting one& not have a biological child

Their expectations increased &i had to score high so that i get a good job in future& they wont need to live the same life anymore
Earlier even i wanted to make my parents free of the lifestyle we were living but being under the huge pressure of scoring well, i cudnt study well& soon gave up all my interests- especially in sports
Bit alas even that didnt help- instead of improving, my performance started decreasing& slowly my parents started beating me for the same
They thought that bcz i had to quit my interests, i was trying to seek revenge for the same
As a result, they used to put me in the spare smalll room we had in our house- it had a worn out single bed with small loo& the door used to open only for giving food

I had only 1 job-to study
I was allowed to come out only during exams& during school hrs so that i was allowed to sit in the examination
In such cases ppl often become superstitious but i was so helpless that i didnt have that as an option
I studied throughout the yr& gave my exams- unknown to the fact that they will become the last exams i will ever give

I did pass but on the deadline &soon my parents got my name off the school rolls& put me in the spare room for 10long yrs- initially i used to scream, beg, btutally cry, ask for forgiveness& promised to perform well next yr& become a topper but my statements& requests fell on deaf ears

Ultimately, i gave up& accepted that as my future life
Tho i had started having loss of apetite, yet i used to eat whatever i used to get bcz if i disagreed, then they might stop giving me food
The loneliness started driving me crazy& i started suffering from all the symptoms of a patient of solitary confinement-
Severe headaches
Lack of sleep
Boredom
Dizziness
Resistance to light etc

At that time, i thought that due to lack of education &loneliness, my mental growth wont be acc to that of my age but thankfully the ​counselling sessions proved me wrong
My parents started believing that i have lost my senses& now needed to be put in a mental asylum- it wud also help them to get rid of me& thats what they did 10months ago
They left me outside a mental hospital
It left me so shocked that i indeed started behaving like a mentally disturbed patient
Like few other patients, even i was put under the category of being an orphan cz they found me all alone outside the hospital
When they asked me about my personal details, all i cud mention was my name& age& acc to those details, they made my record file

I didnt know why but thrice a week i was sent to a separate sound proof room& beaten up brutally
Earlier i just knew the name& face of the doc on whose orders i was beaten up but i didnt know whose orders was the doc following
Soon i came to know that the doc was a very close friend of my father whom my father had helped in life
To repay my parent's favour, the doc arranged a good job for my father& beat me up brutally without disclosing the name of my parents to the authorities &keep me under the category of orpans in records
The doc agreed happily

When i somehow told all this to the authorities, the doc blamed my medical condition bcz of which i was tied up in chains so that i dont end up harming anyone else
All this broke& affected me mentally & emotionally that i literally became a mental patient
I accepted it as a punishment for my poor educational yrs

Nril then faces towards avni& continued-
Then one day god finally had mercy on me- when u came into my life- as my saviour who treated me with good intentions & saved my from that hell by bringing me to yr home- despite knowing that im a stranger
No matter what i do, i can never repay this favour of yours avni

By now, avni's eyes were filled with tears-
He went through so much with no fault of his own
She just ran& hugged neil with all her energy- she still cudnt believe what he just said

Aman& riya who were standing outside avni's room also had tears in their eyes
They too ran up& hugged neil tightly, leaving him completely surprised

All 3in chorus- we promise u neil, u will get justice for everything u faced in yr life & thats our promise to u& then all ended up laughing

N- thank u
U make me gain my trust in humanity again- something i had lost long back

A-u need not thank us neil
Always remember that we are there for u
He smiled

While they all spent the remaining time together, deep inside avni had few new ideas to help neil

So guys thats all for now- i wanted to keep an exclusive chap of neil's past so its little short
