The Holy Truth

[Lightning]

   "So did we seriously have to take a boat?" I said laying on the canoe like boat next to Selena's lap trying to avoid looking at the water. I was oddly seasick.

"Unfortunately not everyone can fly like you and I'm since I'm not Jesus I can't walk on water nor am I faster than your flight." Selena replied.

"Drop dead." I said.

"Don't be like that." She patted my head. "We can take the time to get to know each other." She said.

"Now I rather drop dead." I said.

"Technically you did once."

"I'd happily do it again."

"Will it ever kill you to not be a dickhead for once." She replied.

"That would be rather boring." I replied. she smiled and rolled her eyes.

"Now how did she do it." I said out loud. I clapped my palm.  The boat shot out in the direction it was heading.

"SLOW DOWN." Selena said holding on to me. Our boat crashed into the Holy Continent coast. We both flew off the boat and Selena landed on top of me. 

"I'm not as good as Arisawa at controlling water." I said getting up and helping Selena up. She was blushing.

   I slightly remembered the time Arisawa and I were discussing relationships and she got super close to my face.

"You're blushing." Selena said snapping me back to reality. "Or do you even blush? Your cheek is red." I jumped back with how close she was to my face.

"It's... Hot." I said. I looked at the castle that's visible. Maru is probably inside. "What a drag."

"So we're heading to the city behind the castle right." She asked.

"That's where I killed the couple. Only there wasn't a castle then."

   After a few hours of traveling in silence we reached the city. The City of Darkness was it's code name. An ironic city in the location it is. Many of the missions we had to undergo here required us to kill people trafficking kids and other kinds of crimes. We were always called here, I always hated this city. I sensed President Black's ki. Looks like I'll kill two birds with only one stone. Let's take care of Selena first.

"Rule number one of an investigation mission. You need a place of interest in this case we start where your potential folks were killed." I explained.

"I remember." She said taking the lead. I followed her.

   "Why do you wear a mask?" the purple haired girl with red eyes asked me.

"No reason." I replied taking the mask off. My long hair covered my face.

"You're known as The Red X. I would like to know you a bit more than just an alias." She replied. "Call me Kaylee."

"I don't care for making friends." I said walking away.

"You're so stubborn, cute, but stubborn." She said.

"Call me Lightning." I replied. Up ahead there was a female with blonde hair and hazel eyes. She spotted our red outfit and opened her eyes wide.

"They were killed around here." Selena said snapping me back into reality. Kaylee... Why did I remember her. There is a pharmacy in the corner and a red bar that stood out across the street from it. "My parents used to go to the pharmacy here all the time."
