The engagement was not on that day but scheduled for a week later, much to Arnav's displeasure for whom the early engagement was the only good thing in that whole obnoxious prank of Khushi and his whole family.
But he didn't throw any more fits, knowing that they needed time to settle everything down. From shopping to invitation to relatives, everything had to be done in a rush and they needed these days to avoid missing out on anything for his and Khushi's special day.
Moreover, the fact that the wedding would be taking place in a whole new city didn't do anything but add to the stress of arranging everything from scratch, including their place to stay and to accommodate their guests as well. However, knowing that this city or to be precise that house meant a lot to Khushi, neither Arnav nor anyone else objected, respecting her dream of getting married under the blessing of her parents, aka her childhood house.
To say that the week has been stressful would, therefore, be an understatement. Both families were so caught up in the preparations that no one had any time to rest. Even Manorama had to compromise with her beauty sleep so that they could finish all the tasks as soon as possible. And due to the sudden engagement, both Arnav and Akash were busy in managing office and re-scheduling their work, because of which Arnav didn't even have enough time to spend with Khushi. She was slightly hurt, for she missed him terribly but she understood his situation and even felt guilty for putting him in such a fix but he had smiled it off,
"If being with you meant giving up the company, that also would have been acceptable to me." He had said to her on the phone, putting a stop to her constant apology and rendering her face red for an entire night.
But no matter how tiring the week had been, it was all worth it for the day that had finally arrived, that is, the engagement day of Arnav and Khushi.
Khushali Nivas--Khushi's childhood house which was named after her mother--was illuminated by thousands of fairy lights. The royal chandelier added to the beauty of the venue along with the wall lighting and the strands of crystals which decorated the place, making it look ravish. The aroma of the buffet, perfectly arranged on the table which itself was covered with sparkly table linen, mixed with the fragrance of the white and red roses and the muffled chats and giggles from the guests boomed across the hall, adding to the lively atmosphere set up for the special occasion.

"By the way, Nanav," NK spoke whilst checking himself in the mirror before he makes his appearance in front of the girls outside. He and Akash were in one of the guest rooms, assisting Arnav in getting ready. "You must be the first groom who crashed into his own much awaited engagement, to stop it from happening." He nudged Arnav with his elbow, all in laughter as he remembered the day Arnav went frantic over the news of Khushi's engagement.
Akash chuckled, lifting his hand to high-five with NK when Arnav shot him a glare. He closed his mouth instantly, swallowed his laughter and withdrew his hand from mid air, causing NK to miss the high-five and almost fall flat on his face.
"And you two will be the first ones to attend their brother's engagement with a broken nose if you don't shut up right away." Arnav said, flashing them a menacing look as he buttoned his dark purple sherwani.
Akash gulped again while NK frowned, straightening his suit while huffing, "Rakshas."
"Did you say something?" Arnav asked, arching his brow. NK jerked and shook his head vigorously whilst Akash pursed his lips to prevent himself from chuckling.
"Are you guys ready? Guests are alre-" Anjali barged into the room, dressed in her silk blue floral saree with her hair perfectly done in a top knot bun. She seemed almost frantic until NK moved and she got a clear view of Arnav.
