Here I was, once again, standing in front of a large school, being the new student. I have only been in my Junior year for 3 months and I had already transferred to 3 different schools, this one mark my fourth. Why? Well, you're about to find out.
The Day Before // 3rd Person View
" What's the point of being transferred to another school?" Ji-Yeon asked as she picked at the dead skin around her fingernails. " How many times do I have to tell you? You need your education, you expect me to pull you out of school altogether?" He mom placed her hands on her hips as she spoke with frustration evident. Ji-Yeon was quiet, she never raised her voice or looked anyone in the eye as they talked. No one ever really made an effort to get her to either. " It's not like they want me anyway. I've been kicked out three times." she stopped pulling at the skin at this moment, she buried her face into the palm of her hands as she started getting emotional and frustrated. " Sweetheart, it was my decision to take you out that school, not only because of you. I want you to know that okay?" Ji-Yeon nodded even though they both knew she didn't understand. She slid off the stool that sat at the island in the kitchen. " I'm going to shower." Ji-Yeon headed down to her bedroom and shut the door immediately after.
She sat onto her bed and pulled her knees to her chest. " Everything will be fine." She mumbled rubbing her finger over old wrist scars.
" Ji-Yeon, Ji-Yeon wake up." are the words that pulled Jiyeon from her sleep. She didn't even realize she had fallen asleep in her towel. " Dinner is ready." Ji-Yeon nodded and her mom left her alone to get dress. 5 minutes later Ji-Yeon appeared in front of the table where her mom and dad sat. She silently bowed to them and sat across from her dad. " Ready for school?" her dad asked with a monotone voice not taking her attention of his dinner and magazine. Ji-Yeon nodded although it wouldn't be seen by him. " I asked if you are ready for school." her father rose his voice which startled her. " Yes, sir."
Ji-Yeon pushed the rice in her bowl around not having an appetite as usual. " Please eat honey, you haven't eaten in a while." Her mom spoke with concern. It was true, the last time she had a full proper meal was maybe a week or so ago. She doesn't really get hungry as she used to. " Do you pay for the food in this house?" her father suddenly spoke up making Ji-Yeon jump out of her seat a little bit. She shook her head shakily. " Speak!" he slammed his magazine onto the table making it rumble. " No, sir." She pinched and scratched at her arm under the table, she did this when she was nervous. " Then eat!" he barked. He stood up and grabbed his jacket. " Where are you going?" Her mom followed after him grabbing his arm gently. " None of your business." He shoved her back and slammed the door after leaving. Ji-Yeon filled her cheeks with food as her eyes were filled with tears. " Sweetie!" her mom rushed over to her. " You don't have to eat." Her mom grabbed her and stroked her hair. Ji-Yeon silently wept in her arms. " Where is he going? He is going to drink right? Did I make him angry again? Is he going to hurt me?" Ji-Yeon asked without taking any breaths. Her cheeks wet with tears. " He's not going to hurt you. I won't let him."
Mother Point of View
Ji-Yeon began hyperventilating. She was having a panic attack. Being used to this now, I just helped her up and walked her to her room. I sat Ji-Yeon on her bed and adjusted her pillow. " Lay down," I told her as I ran into the bathroom to retrieve a cold rag. She was still breathing heavy as a dapped the rag all over her face. " Breath in, breath out, in, out." She followed my words as she closed her eyes. I flicked on the switch to her ceiling fan to keep Ji-Yeon cool. After 25 minutes she became herself again. I gave her some sleeping pills cause I knew she would have trouble sleeping as she is an insomniac. Ji-Yeon fell asleep in a matter of 5 minutes.

After calming down Ji-Yeon and putting her to sleep, Hayoung slid down the wall in tears. She was always so scared but didn't want to frighten Ji-Yeon. She was all Ji-Yeon had so she needed to stay strong for her. She wiped her tears away and pulled herself off the floor and left Ji-Yeon's room. She started to clean up the mess in the kitchen and wrapped up Kihyun's food.
2:47 AM
A loud crash woke Ji-Yeon up. She looked around her bedroom and her eyes fixed on the clock. " What's going on." She threw her legs off the bed and silently creped to her bedroom door and quietly opened it. Ji-Yeon tiptoed down the hallway a peered around the corner. " She isn't our f*cking problem!" Kihyun yelled throwing things around the house. " The only problem is that she is a pain in my a**. You better keep an eye on her!" he yelled. Ji-Yeon covered her mouth to mask her cries. " Keep down, you'll wake her up." Hayoung tried to hush him. " The. F*ck. If. I. Care." He said. " Wake up little b*tch. Wake up little b*tch!" He screeched over and over. Ji-Yeon began to feel sick. She ran back to her room, shutting and locking the door behind her. She ran into her bathroom and threw up all the food she barely ate. Tears continuously spilled from her eyes and she just kept throwing up. She pounded the floor laying her back up against the wall. She was too weak to even move from her position. With the little bit of strength she had, she reached up to her sink and grabbed the bottle of sleeping pills. She poured about four into her hand and gulped it down without water. Half of her hoping if she took this many, she wouldn't wake up. She crawled back to her bed and engulfed herself with the blanket. She cried herself to sleep with the lovely sound of screaming and loud noises.
