It was a full moon. The animals of the forest are slowly approaching a lake in the middle of the forest to drink. The very first ones to come near are deers and a few gazelles. As they dip their heads for a drink they were startled by a cry. The gazelles look around only to see a basket just a few meters away. The deers approached it only to see a newborn baby crying. The gazelles came near to help the deers stop the cry of the baby. When they came near they saw bright gray eyes looking at them curiously. They did everything to make it stop. A few moments later you could hear the calm pounding of paws on the forest floor. Then, as fast as it came it stopped. The deers along with the gazelles turned their heads to face the new comers. The wolves approached the group only to tilt their head in confusion at the child. However the child looked at them curiously when the wolves tilted their head she laughed and made grabby motions with her hands. The wolves looked at each other and then back at the child. One wolf had the courage to put it's muzzle near the child. The child smiled and held the wolf's muzzle and giggled. The wolf looked at it's companion asking for permission if she can keep the child. She was not failed for these savage creatures even though are brutal killers, they are still compassionate.
