Cole's POV

I pull my car into the driveway of Bo Dean's place. A brick wall is wrapped around the front of it with an Iron Gate. On the gate is the letter D and a security guy is sitting in the booth.

The security guy steps out of the booth and approaches my vehicle. He has his hand on his belt that has a gun in it. Looking at me he says. "I need to see you're license. Please, hold it up in the air after you've grabbed."

It looks like Bo's stepped up security around his house. Something is going on in his for him to have to up security measures.

Reaching into my back pocket I pull my wallet out and take the license out. Holding my hands in the air the guy takes a step towards me and grabs.

He looks it over before pulling out the walkie talkie. "Sir, I have a Cole Mason at the gate."

"Let him in."

The gate opens for me to drive through. Looking at the guy I say. "Can I have my license, please?"

He hands it back to me and I put it in my wallet. "Have a good day." He says, as he walks back to the booth.

I drive down the driveway and as I approach the house I see the beach in the background.

He has the best view from his house.

I park in front of the brick mansion with a wrap-around porch and kid's toys all over it. The door is painted red with a brace door knocker with a snake on it.

Parking my car in front of the house I climb out and walk to the front door. Before I can knock on it the door opens revealing Bo.

He steps out of the house. "Hey, Cole. The kids and Mrs. are asleep and I don't want to wake them up. If I do I won't hear the end of it."

I laugh. "How is Braelynn doing?"

"She's pregnant with our fifth child. She told me last night that she's over being pregnant and wants to start living our lives instead of conceiving more kids." Looking at me says. "How's everything going with you? Have you made any progress with Julia Harris?"

I stop walking and look at him. "How do you know about her?"

A smile spreads across his face. "We went to the same school, man. I heard she's back in town and you've been seen with her a couple of times."

"It's going at a snail's pace, but what should I expect? I did hurt her when we were growing up. Now, that I've seen what I've done I feel ashamed, but she's slowly opening up to me which is a good thing. I'm starting to feel protective of her, which is why I'm flying to New York tonight to see my cousin. I'm going to need his help in protecting her."

"You don't need to get the mafia involved. You have me. I can protect you both from whatever shit, hits the fan." He tells me.

"I appreciate that, Bo, but you have a family that needs you more. I won't ask you to put your neck on the line for Julia and I. Besides, my cousin needs some help with something in New York and I'm the only one that can help him."

"I'm coming with you to New York, Cole. I'm not going to let you walk into your cousin's place without protection. Do you remember what happened the last time you showed up?"

How could I forget?

*Flashback*

A couple years ago I got a phone call from my cousin Riker Mesi to help him with another family that wanted to take over his. When I arrived at my cousin's bar I had a gun pointed at my head and the guy was going to pull the trigger without asking who I was.
