Jesse is waiting for me in front of the house. Once I'm parked, he walks down the stairs and opens the door for me.
I step out of my car and follow him inside the house. "Jesse, are you going to tell me who lives here?"
A guy steps out of a room and stops in front of me. He holds his hand to me and says, "I'm Drazic. A beautiful woman like yourself can call me Draz."
I smile at him. "It's nice to meet you, Draz. I'm Julia." I shake his hand. "I like what you did with the masks. They look so real. Are you going to hold it against me if I don't wear the one of Jesse?"
He shakes his head. "No, but you have to see what we've come up with. When Jesse pretends to be you when you walk out of the Correctional Facility."
Looking at Jesse, I say. "Do you have to tell everyone what we're doing?"
"Drazic can be trusted. Besides, he's worked closely with Cole on a project long ago."
I lean against the wall. "What kind of project did you work on with, Cole?"
His face is smiling. "You'll find out one day, and when you do, I'd like to talk to you on the phone."
"Deal," I say, Looking at Jesse. How long is it going to take you to get ready?"
"I need you to choose some clothes you would wear."
I point at what I'm wearing. "If you can find something like this, you'll be lucky to get away looking like me."
Drazic looks at my outfit. "I have something like that. I'll help you get ready, Jesse."
The guys walk into a room and close the door behind them.
I walk over to the grand piano and play it, singing along.
When the song ends, I see Drazic standing next to Jesse, who looks exactly like me.
Standing up, I walk over to him and touch the mask. "You look so much like me, Jesse. What's the plan?"
"You'll be walking into the Correctional Facility as yourself, and you'll meet your uncle, but when you leave the facility, it will be behind me. If anything happens, I'll be the one to be hurt, not you."
"Do you think this plan will work?"
"Yes,"
"Are you going to take off the outfit?"
He holds another female mask up. "I'll have to wear this one until you're ready to leave."
"I'm driving," I tell him. "I can't let you drive in that ridiculous get-up."
He laughs. "I'm glad I can entertain you, Miss Harris."
I hit his arm. "Never call me that. We're the same age and went to the same school, Jesse. Did you know my ex-best friend had a crush on you?"
Jesse grabs my arm and leads me to the door. "I did. She never got a chance with me because she wasn't nice. She proved that when she dropped you off on graduation day. I was going to hook up with her at the party, but after seeing how she treated you, I knew I couldn't be with a girl like that."
I opened the door for Jesse and waited for him to buckle up before closing the door. Then, I rounded the car and climbed into the driver's seat.
I start the car and pull away from the mansion. "Do I have to drop you off here before I go home?"
"Yeah, I have a few things I need to work on, and this place is as good as any to get what I need."
The car is silent for the rest of the ride to the Correctional Facility.
