"Over here" we heard Coolies voice say, then turned to meet eyes with him.
Kutora ran up to him and jumped in his arms.
Juice, Scheme, and Ski was there also.
"Hi Juice" Kutora said once she broke the hug off.
I looked to my right and seen Kaniyah and Scheme already booed up.
"Hi baby" Melani said to Coolie as she walked up to him with open arms.
Ski was distracted on his phone, then looked up.
He waved at me and I waved back. He then unexpectedly walked up to me to give me a hug.
"Hi my name is Stokeley, nice to meet you" He said.
I KNOW WHO YOU ARE.. is what I said in my head.
"Hi, mine is Akari" I said back, trying not to smile too hard.
"That's a nice name.. never heard it" he said and grabbed one of my suitcases for me while we walked.
"Thanks, I never heard of Stokeley before either" I said and put my hair behind my ear.
"Where we going now?" Kutora said as she walked in the middle of Juice and Coolie.
"My house" Coolie said.
I got on my phone and scrolled through my contact list.
"FaceTiming Momma🤩🖤"
I smiled once I seen her face pop up.
"Hi mom" I said and waved.
"You just landed?" She said.
"Yeah we on our way to Coolie house" I said.
"Tell him I said hi" she said.
I handed my phone to him.
"Hi mom" Coolie said to her.
Coolie and Kutora usually referred to my mom as theirs, since she took care of them a lot as children.
Their mom died of cancer a long time ago.
"Boy you still got that color in your hair, you look like a smurf" she said, talking about his blue hair.
He laughed at her joke.
"Yeah cause it's wavy" he said.
"How's your father doing baby?" she asked.
"Uh I don't really know, I haven't spoken to him in a while" he said as he played with his hair.
"Make sure you check on him, he's getting old" she said.
We were outside by now and I muted out their conversation.
I observed Ski. How he laughed when something funny popped up on his time line, how raspy his voice was all the time and the cracks in his voice.
*snap*
"Mmhm?" I said and looked at Kaniyah who was snapping her fingers in my face.
"Just talk to him" she whispered.
"No. Not now" I said as an excuse.
I was scared as fuck to embarrass myself in front of him, I would die.
"Then when" she said.
"When we're alone" I whisper yelled back.
"What you wanna do today?" Scheme asked her as he came from behind and held her waist.
"I don't know, I think I just wanna chill since we just came" Kaniyah responded.
"You chillin wit me?" Scheme asked with a smirk on his face.
"Mmh" Kaniyah said and looked at the top corner of her eyes as if she was thinking about it.
He smacked her ass.
"Now we really not chillin today" she said playfully.
"Y'all make me sick" I said with a fake stink face.
"Don't hate, get you a bae" Scheme said.
"Shut up long head, I'm lonely as hell" I said and glanced to see if Ski heard.
He was on the phone with somebody.
After a few minutes, Coolie finally came from the parking lot with his car and we all squeezed in there.
"Coolie" I said as we sat in the moving car.
"What" He said while looking at the road.
"My phone" I said.
"Oh yeah" he said and reached into his pocket.
He gave it to Juice, who passed it to me.
I went to the girls group chat and started typing...
