The clear skies in front of me were slowing becoming darker the farther south I drive. I knew it was only a matter of time before it begins to rain. The rest of the band was asleep while I drove us from Dallas to Houston to be the opening band for Palaye Royale. Our tour manager, Aaron Daniels, was sitting in the front passenger seat doing some number crunching on his laptop.
"Hey Aaron," I piped up over the instrumental music playing on the radio, "please tell me you actually hired a merch person this time. I'm sick and tired of hiding behind that table until it's time to go on stage."
"Ronnie," Aaron begins while looking up from his laptop, "I have a plan. I have some family in Houston so I might beg one of my cousins to do it. He's a huge fan."
"Why," I state annoyed, "why must it always be a guy?! For once I'd prefer not to be the only female around you drunks."
"I'm not a drunk," my older brother, Johnny, groggily states from behind me, "I'm an alcoholic. There's a difference little sister."
"Whatever." I roll my eyes in defeat and sigh, knowing we still have two more hours on the road.
As if on cue, rain begins to pour down. Once again I sigh in defeat, knowing that I'm the only one cautious enough to be allowed to drive the shitty passenger van with the black beat-up trailer attached.
*time skip to later that day*As I pull up right next to Palaye Royale's tour bus, I grab my charged phone and headphones and crawl to Johnny's sleeping spot. I push him to the floor and grab his blanket from him. The guys can unload the trailer and van while I take a nap.
Remington's POV
I wake up from my nap only to hear an already tipsy Sebastian doing horrible karaoke. I peer out of my bunk only to be greeted by an all too cheerful Emerson.
"It's about time you woke up," Emerson states, "our opening act just got here."
"Who's our opening act?" I sit up and attempt to stretch in my top bunk.
"I don't know."
"They're called Pop the Clutch," Sebastian slurs, "lead singer is female. I found this pic of them online. She's cute."
I grab Seb's phone from him as Emerson begins to start to sober him up enough for tonight's show. He wasn't lying about the lead singer being cute. Her long red hair and piercing blue eyes complement the black and white striped dress she has on in the photo. The guys in the photo also seem to be wearing an outfit that matches with her dress. I bet she's prettier in person.
A knock on the bus door startles me. I jump out of my bunk and open the door. Before my eyes are three adults, two of which are fighting like Seb and Em currently are.
"Hello," the guy in the middle of the two begins, "I'm Aaron Daniels. I'm the tour manager for Pop the Clutch. Can I leave one of these two on your bus? We need to unload our trailer and they won't stop fighting."
"Shut up, Aaron," the girl spits out, "I wouldn't be fighting with Johnny if he just let me sleep!"
"I'd let you sleep dear sister," the tall guy retorts, "if I didn't have to unload all of your equipment!"
"Please take one of them," Aaron pleads with me.
"Uh, sure?" In my groggy state my brain is still trying to process what's happening. Before I have enough time to think, Aaron shoves the female in our bus and closes the door.
