You and the others were really starting to feel like you were a team. You had decided on Aqualad being the leader, and you had even gotten a new teammate, Black Canary's protégé, Blue Canary. Lucille, or Lulu, as they like to be called, is Black Canary's deceased brother's only child. They discovered they had a canary cry on a skiing field trip that their parents were chaperoning, and because of it, they accidentally destroyed the lift their parents were on, sending their mother and father falling to their deaths. Despite their background, they seemed to be an overall cheery, happy-go-lucky person and had proved themself capable of helping out on their first mission with the team when they assisted in defeating Amazo. Despite them being nonbinary, they enjoy wearing very feminine outfits. Their suit even resembles Black Canary's. A tight black dress with a cutout triangle on the navel, fishnet tights, blue boots, and a blue cropped jacket with a canary emblem on it. They also wear a domino mask similar to Robin's and Speedy's and have short, blonde hair.
The team was having the morning off to celebrate the last few warm, summer days. Well, most of the team was celebrating. Your brother had his first day of high school today whereas college didn't start for you for another week. So, you took the opportunity to have a day in the sun with the team sans Wally. After having a moment of silence for your 'absent comrade', the six of you had the times of your lives swimming in the perfect water, playing volleyball on the beach, cooking and eating hot dogs, and even burying Superboy under the sand. You were surprised he let you do that, but you weren't complaining. You briefly caught Lulu and Robin accidentally make eye contact and they both blushed and looked away quickly. Ah, young love, you thought with a chuckle.
After the festivities were done, the team headed back to the cave where you met another new teammate, Green Arrow's new apprentice. You assumed Lulu must've already known her since they gave the girl a bear hug as soon as they saw her. You knew Roy wasn't going to be happy about Green Arrow having found a new protégé so quickly. He was already pretty angry with GA as is, but this would only make it harder for the two to make up. Before you got her name, you heard the computer announce your brother's arrival. "Recognized-Kid Flash, B03,"
You felt a little bad seeing your little brother all ready to go to the beach, but you still chuckled at his poor timing. "The Wall-man is here! Now let's get this party star- oof!" he tripped and fell, dropping most of his stuff in the process. He looked up to see Red Tornado and Batman looking down at him, unamused as his beach ball bounced passed them. "-Ted,"
"Wall-man, huh? I love the uniform. What exactly are your powers?" The new girl asked.
"Uh, who's this?" Wally answered with another question.
"Artemis, your new teammate," she replied.
"Kid Flash. Never heard of you," Wally snarked back.
"Um, she's my new protégé," GA intervened.
"What happened to your old one?" Wally asked before the computer announced said former protégé's arrival.
"Recognized- Speedy, B06,"
"Well, for starters, he doesn't go by Speedy anymore. Call me Red Arrow," you were excited that Roy was here and you were about to tease him for his reeeaaal original name before remembering that he was about to see that his former mentor had a new protégé.
"Roy. You look-" Green Arrow started.
"-Replaceable," Roy interrupted.
Oh boy, here we go, you thought.
"It's not like that. You told me you were going solo," GA said.
"So why waste time finding a sub? Can she even use that bow?" Roy retorted.
