One Tree Hill ~ Lucas Scott

Chapter 3

(S1E3)

"There is this Burning Boat thing, so get off your ass and lets go." My brother said standing at the doorway of my room.

"And why do I have to go with you?" I questioned not really wanting to hanging out with Dylan because I had plans with Brooke and Peyton.

"We haven't hung out in a while and I have somethings I want to forget." With that being said he left my room and made a motion with his arm for me to follow him. So reluctantly I followed him.

As we were walking towards the boat, my older brother spots Lucas and walks toward him. You see Lucas and Dylan were friends in middle school but when Dylan went to high school they stopped talking.

"Nice game, Luke." Dylan congratulated him as we got closer.

"Hey, thanks." Lucas replied

"You are just blowing up." My brother says taking noticing everybody congratulating him.

"Yeah, man. I'm a big star now. Hales better hope i keep her around." He says nudging the girl standing next to him.

"I'm gonna try to not lose sleep over that, thanks." The girl that i'm assuming that her name is Haley based off the nickname Lucas called her.

As the three of them continue their conversation, my phone started to ring so excused myself and answered it.

"So I made an appointment to get waxed and you know that I don't like to go alone, will you go with me?" Brooke asks me through the phone. "Brooke-.." but she cuts me off before i could say no. "Please, please Peytons being all moody again please." She whines into the phone which causes me to chuckle "Fine, but you B.Davis owe me." With that I hung up the phone.

I was skimming through a magazine next to Brooke as she laid on her stomach getting a wax.

"Peyton told me you were half naked in the back of Lucas's car. Care to explain?" I said looking up from the magazine to look at Brooke.

"He's nice, caring and maybe I want a boyfriend." Brooke states

"And you think Lucas is boyfriend material?" I question. I mean I know that Lucas is a nice guy but I know Brooke and she would destroy a guy like Lucas.

"I don't know,may-OW!" Brooke squeals as the lady ripped off the wax strip and her grip on my hand tights causing me to wince in pain.

"Why are you being so persistent about Lucas? You usually would have moved on by now." I ask

"Is the Elizabeth Grace Shepherd jealous?" Brooke teases as I roll my eyes and reach of to rip on of the other wax strips off. "Owww!" she yells in pain as I laugh.

I had heard from Peyton that Nathan and some guys on the team trashed the river court. So that's where I am now, watching Lucas trying scrub a basketball hoop clean of spray paint.

"I heard about this. I hoped it wasn't true." I said making my presence known to Lucas.

"What do you want Liz?" Lucas inquired look at down at me since he was on a latter.

" I just wanted to apologize I know I didn't do this but that doesn't stop me from feeling bad."

"Did Elizabeth Shepherd just apologize?" He teased which made me smile a little. "Why are you friends with him?" He asks.

"I grew up with him and he's not as bad as you think you just have to look past how much a dick he is, then you'll see he is actually a decent guy."

(S1E4)

"Everytime I ride with you, I swear I'm never doing it again." Brooke yells while I laugh. She talk about how reckless Peyton's driving is.

"One day you'll get used to it B.Davis." I said which caused Peyton to laugh. I've been friends with Peyton for since preschool. She was sitting during recess so me being the social little child I was I went up to her and started talking to her and that's how Peyton and I became friends.

"Liz. You gotta talk to him. Lucas had the better shot. You, saw it right?" Tim said as he walked up to the three of us.

"Tim? Are you being pathetic?" Brooke jokingly asks. Then a 'Keith Scott Motors' truck pulls up on the side of the road.

"What's he doing here?" Tim asks Nathan who just walked down the steps of his parents beach house.

" I invited him. I mean, since you guys are such great friends now." Nathan replied

"What are you trying to pull, Nate?" I asked knowing that he was going to try and do something to humiliate Lucas at some point during the night.

"Nothing." Was his simple response but I could see right through him, this is going to be one hell of a night.
