We moved a short distance, from Los Angeles to Beacon Hills, which took a couple, boring, dreadful, and long, hours in which I kept asking 'are we there yet' just to annoy my parents, which was fun, but it got boring after awhile.

"Okay, seriously this time, are we there yet?" I asked, we had left early and I couldn't go to sleep anymore, but my mom had been sleeping for awhile now. "Calm down, Zack, we'll be there soon," he said calmly. I groaned softly and slumped down in the seat.

Two hours later, we arrived. By the time we had carried all the boxes in, it was only about 11 am. I decided to go out and 'explore' as some would call it. "Don't come home late, you have school tomorrow," my mom called out as I walked out the front door.

As I was walking on the boardwalk, a tall blonde walked up to me. "I was wondering if you knew where this little boutique was," she said as she handed over a card with an address on it.

"No idea, I literally just got here a few hours ago. I'm new in town."

"What a coincidence, so am I! Newbies should stick together," she said with a hint of a smirk as she took my phone and handed me hers. She put her number in, adding a picture as well before handing it back. I handed her phone back to her, my hand accidentally brushing hers, I felt a bit of a shock but I brushed it off as nothing.

"I'll see you around," she said in a low voice, winking slightly as she turned to walk off, the sound of her heels fading away with every step she took away from me. All I knew about this girl was that her name is Juliet, she's blonde, she's hot, she's a flirt, and I felt something. What it was I don't know, but I definitely felt something.

I checked out a couple more stores, finding basically nothing interesting or good enough to spend money on, so I decided to walk back home. It was already getting dark, so I quickened my step.

As I arrived home, my parents were watching a show on TV. I stood at the doorway, watching them for a bit. The simple image of them together and happy made me smile. They were still fairly young, and they were much younger when they had me. They must've had a lot of problems, and they must've also dealt with them or they wouldn't be together. I want a relationship like that, I want someone who will be mine but at the same time truly be my best friend. Most people say that's weird to hear from a guy, and I agree, but it's because nowadays guys are taught that they have to be strong and 'manly,' my parents didn't raise me that way.

I shook my head and walked past the living room and upstairs. "Goodnight!" I called back to them as I went and took a quick shower, changed, and got into bed.
