We had been in Beacon Hills for a few days now, and we had already begun unpacking, but I felt a bit... uneasy about the town. Everyday I'd go out, riding my skateboard and every day, without fail, I felt like I was being watched. My parents kept telling me I was paranoid, but I know what I felt.

I walked downstairs and hugged my parents, "good morning"

"Good morning, sweetie. You excited for school tomorrow?"

"Ecstatic," I responded sarcastically as I sat down, sipping on some coffee I had served myself.

"You know you can tell us anything," my mother said.

"Yeah, that's why you think I'm crazy"

"It's not like that, it's just a bit irrational"

"I was being watched!" I exclaimed, "you know what, nevermind. Why bother if you always think I'm lying," I got up angrily and grabbed my skateboard, walking out the door and beginning to ride on the sidewalk.

I stopped for coffee since I had left mine at home. A woman tapped my shoulder gently, "Skylar?"

I turned to see who it was, my face lighting up as soon as I saw who it was. "Aunt Diana!" My arms wrapped around her in a tight hug. "When did you guys move here?"

"You'll make new friends," that's exactly what my parents said.

"It's not easy starting over," I muttered.

"It's easier than you think, Skylar. Anyways, I apologize for losing touch. I know I haven't talked to any of you recently, I've been a bit busy"

"I understand, so how's Ash?"

"She's okay, thanks for asking; she's grown up so much, as have you. I remember how both of you used to love playing together when you were younger"

"Yeah, well, things can change quite a lot in a couple years," I said with a shrug

"That's very true... I have to get going, but it was nice catching up with you," she said as she gave me another quick hug, "tell your mom I said hi," she called to me as she headed towards her car.

I decided to head back home a few hours later and it was still early, so I began watching some movies on my laptop. I eventually fell asleep halfway through one
