Danielle's POV
I can't believe Louie is on the same plane as me, and sitting in practically the seat next to me. I sit in the airport seat holding my phone. Should I text him. No let him text me. My phone vibrates and I expect to see a message from Louie but I am surprised when Alex, this really fit boy whom I have been friends with for ages, texts me. I kinda like him but I don't think he likes me. I guess I shouldn't be surprised he was texting me a few minutes ago.
*Don't forget to buy me a souvenir;) xxxxxxxxxxxx* I laugh at my phone earning a few strange glances from my family.
*Alex I am on my way back m8 xxxxxxxxxxxx*
*Oops I knew that xxxxxxxxxxxx*I smiled and put away my phone.
I glance over at Louie he is staring at my hands and my pocket where my phone is. He notices me looking and his face instantly changes into a broad smile.
"We are boarding at gate 35" my brother says in my ear.
I nod and pick up my bag. It is so heavy so I drag it down the stairs and through the corridors. We join the end of a massive queue to board the plane. Luckily it doesn't take that long and we hurry onto the plane. I take my seat by the window and wait for the stranger to barricade me in. Louie boards the plane and sits down in the seat next to me.
"I thought you were sitting there" I motion to the empty seat next to him.
"No baby I will sit here"
Just as he says that a rather fat man appears. His unshaven chins wobbled in disapproval.
"Excuse me. That's my seat." He pointed to were Louie was sitting.
"I'm sorry Sir but would you mind if I sat here. It's just my girlfriend here doesn't like flying so I need to be with her and hold her hand else she can get quite scared." Louie said in a calm voice. I stared at him. Girlfriend? We had known each other for like 2 days.
"I can hold her hand don't you worry son. Now you move and let me into my space." The man moved forward.
I tensed and grabbed Louie's arm.
"No Louie don't let him sit here." I whispered. I felt like a child.
"I won't baby" He reassured me.
"Look son let me sit there for take off and landing and you can for the rest of the flight." The fat man made a deal.
Louie waited a long time before looking at me for approval. I nodded slightly.
"Okay fine but only for take off and as soon as those seatbelt signs turn off we swap okay?" Louie said aggressively.
"Deal" The man agreed. Louie stood up and kissed me cheek. He moved out into the isle and let the fat man sit between us.
"Hello darling" he whispered into my ear. Louie tensed and I could see his white knuckles gripping the arm rests.
"Don't talk to her" He spat at the man.
"I shall talk to her if I want" he replied getting angry.
Luckily the man said no more to me. I started to shiver as the plane started to move. A sick feeling spread across my stomach and I swallowed to keep myself calm. I met Louie's eyes and they softened considerably. I smiled and gripped the armrest I turned to look out the window. After about 10 minutes of deep breaths we were in the air and the seatbelt signs turned off. Louie jumped out of his seat and turned to the fat man.
"Move" He said.
The fat man obliged and struggled his way out of the seat. Louie hopped in. His arms were around me in seconds and he placed his lips on the top of my head.
"You okay?" he whispered.
I nodded and snuggled up to him.
