I walk out of the library book in hand, with a smile on my face.My smile conceals my frown just waiting to be seen. Losing my brother has ripped me apart more than I thought.
I've been bottling up emotions acting like nothing is happening. I keep my walls up all the time and never let them down. I keep my emotions in check never letting them show.
I keep a front, a new me when out in public, meanwhile when I get to the safety of my room I break down. The moment the doors are closed i'm a different person. I let everything out.
But nobody has to know that.
------------------------------------------------
I walked to the diner as it was only a couple minutes away from my house. Once I reached the diner I walked through the door as the bell on the top of the door went off. I walked off to the back, grabbed my name tag clipped it to my shirt. Then I started my shift.
It was a typical day. The diner was normally busy so I was trying to get to multiple people at once. It wasn't as chaotic as you would think. The 2 other waitresses were at opposite sides of the room, taking orders.
--------------------------------------------
I was walking out from the back kitchen when 3 guys walk in. All wearing black hoodies with a small logo of a half red, half white feather on the top left corner.
The guy in the middle has dirty blonde hair, hazel eyes and green sweatpants. The same guy who was talking to Cole earlier. We'll call him blondie.
The next guy on his left has light brown hair resembling mine, dark brown eyes and white wash jeans. Light brown haired guy.
Finally the guy on the right has raven black hair like Cole, a slightly lighter shade of brown than the guy on the left and solid blue jeans. And Raven I guess.
All very good looking guys, like very.
The other waitresses are busy so I walk up to them "Table for three?" I ask
Blondie doesn't respond, taking out his phone. But the guy with light brown hair does saying, "Ya, thanks."
Raven looks at me, tilts his head to the side and then goes to blondie whispering something.
I lead them to a table at the far corner of the room, they take a seat and I hand them the menus.
My shifts ends in about 2 minutes so I just decide to tell the other waitresses to take that table and that i'm leaving.
I walk out and see the 3 boys looking at me, when they see me looking they all look at something else.
And a look flickered in Ravens eye, just for a split second.
I thought I imagined it but it looked like recognition. Like he knew me.

So when I first started writing this book it was going to be both a mystery and romance book. Cole was going to be the only other main character, but now I decided to change everything up a little. <3
Sorry I haven't posted in awhile, i've been really caught up in my school work and just haven't had any time to write. I also think that my writing is trash, but I do still want to finish this story. I don't want to just leave it when I still want to write stuff that has been planned.
