Flash back (1998/9/14)
The day I was born. I belong to south korea, yup my dad is Korean and my mom is American.
My name is Kim Caren . I grew up in Korea with a wonderful environment *sic it's so cold in Korea!
When I was 3 , I went and lived with my grandma in Busan. I went to school everyday , I was chubby and short. My grandma always picked me up after school . One day after school I met one guy. He was same age as me. He was alone. He was carrying a red bag, same uniform like me, and I finally noticed him. He was from the next section . When my granny asked why was he alone ,he started crying like a baby!
His chubby cheeks and his puoty lips made him look more like a baby! I gave him a lollipop (strawberry flavoured ) poor boy ! He hugged me tightly and cried more.
Hey! I'm Kim Caren and you?
Hi I'm Paak Chimmy
Huh? Can you repeat again?
Chimmy*sobbs
I couldn't hear properly so I thought it was Chimmy . I'll call you chim okay ?
After a while his parents came and picked him up. Me and my granny went home too.
The next day..
I went to school and searched for chim. He was sitting inside his class . As soon as he saw me he ran out and started talking with me.
Me and chim grew up together and we started to love each other. Chim was so cute , he always held my hand and said ' Caren you're so pretty' and this made me blush!
Now we're both 7 years. One day after school we went to our favourite spot. The old bridge near Chim's house.
Chim picked up a stone and started to scribble something. He wrote our names under the bridge. - chim ♡ caren.
We went home after playing outside. My grandma took pictures of us from her old Polaroid camera. Chim was carrying the same red bag. Grandma took many pictures but she gave chim the best picture where we we're holding hands.
After two days..
It was chim's birthday. I couldn't go because I had cold. I sent one puppy and some letters. Chim came and visited me . Aww he brought get well soon cards for me. I was wearing pink mask . Chim's mom took pictures of us . * I look so dead.
That night my mom called my grandma and told her that she was coming to Korea to take me , which means I was gonna go to America and live there with them . I protested but my mom said that I really need to come for further studies.
I didn't tell chim about it cause he'll be sad.
The next day I went and caked chim to come to the children park. I waited and he finally came. He came and hugged me.
Caren? What happen?
Tears flowing on my cheeks.
Umm I'm so sorry but chim... I'm going to America on Monday.
I have to leave you and my grandma.
Caren? You're lying you can't leave me right?
No I am going.
Chim hugs me tightly. Caren promise me you won't forget me. He held me hand and said something. Let's meet under the bridge after we grow up.
Maybe when we turn 20's ?
23 will be perfect. Same place and same day. ( November 9)
