His arm stayed firm around my waist as we walked out to the school's gate; it felt so warm and safe in his arm, it was as if nothing could harm me.

"Kacchan!" A familiar voice shouted from behind us just as we were about to exit the school gate.

Katsuki suddenly came to an abrupt halt and I looked back to see a mummified Izuku standing by the small flight of stairs.

I stared at Izuku but was confused as to why he had the most worried and guilty look on his face. I slowly turned to look at Katsuki nearing the end of my parade of question marks, only to have more of it flooding in.

Katsuki was trying to keep a neutral look on his face but I could feel his body tensing up but was keeping his arm, that was around me, from squishing all the life force out of me as the two stared at each other.

What happened between this two again? I questioned mentally as sweat started to form on my forehead.

"What?" Katsuki replied to Izuku's calling.

Izuku looked at Katsuki before looking at me while seeming like he was contemplating something. He just stared at the ground and sighed before saying "There's one thing I feel like I have to tell you guys..."

Katsuki just kept staring at him but I went ahead and asked: "What is it Izu-Chan?"

He looked up at us before looking back down. "Well...my quirk is something I received from someone else," I just stared at him in confusion while Katsuki immediately responded with a "huh?", which sounded more intimidating than confused in my opinion.

"I can't say from who, though! I won't say...but it's like a story out of comic books, but it's true. On top of that, I can't control it properly. It's just a borrowed power that I haven't made my own yet. That's why...I tried to beat you without using it. But in the end, I couldn't win and had to rely on it," I was listening attentively but Katsuki, on the other hand, was shaking and I could feel his body getting more tensed. He looked kind of angry and scary at the same time.

Izuku continued, "I've still got a long way to go...That's why...That's why--" I could feel Katsuki shaking vigorously and even the veins on his neck were popping out. I grabbed his hand, the one which was around my waist, and it did calm him down a little as he was shaking a little less.

I turned my focus back to Izuku again. "One day, I'll make this Quirk my own and beat you with my power!"

The second the last phrase came out of Izuku's mouth, the first thing that came to mind was, what does he mean? Did he say that he borrowed someone else's Quirk?

"What the hell is that?" Katsuki cut me off my chain of thoughts. "'Borrowed power'? You're talking nonsense. What are you trying to do, make me out to be more of a fool than you already have? Huh?" By now, Katsuki had already snapped, I know it, but I decided to keep my mouth shut since it's a moment between him and Izuku.

Katsuki's voice started getting louder. "What are you trying to say? Today, I lost to you...That's all it was...That's all...As I watched the ice guy, I thought, "I can't beat him"! Damn it! I ended up agreeing with what that ponytail girl said! (Momo Yaoyorozu: It is foolish to launch a large-scale attack indoors.) Damn it! Damn it! Damn it!" I stared at Katsuki at the corner of my eyes as he covered his own with his free arm, and to be honest, I felt a little scared. "Hey, you too, Deku! I'm just...I'm just getting started! You hear? Here, I will become number one!"

My eyes went big when I saw tears rolling down Katsuki's cheeks. His arm, that was around me, gave me a little push, telling me that we should go. I complied as I was still in a state of shock with Katsuki being so emotional. "You won't beat me again, bastard!" He yelled one last time as we were walking to the gate to leave school while wiping his tears with his arm.

Then suddenly, from a distance, someone yelled, "There he is!" And the next thing I knew was that All Might was grabbed onto Katsuki's shoulder while shouting 'Young Bakugou!'.

Oof

Katsuki remained still as All Might held onto his shoulders.

I gave All Might this worried gaze that indicated as a warning for him to stop but he was currently looking upwards at the sky while he says, "Just so you know, pride is important. You definitely have the abilities needed to become a pro. You still have a lot of--"

"Let go of me, All Might. I can't walk," Katsuki cut off All Might's sentence midway while trying to restrain himself from snapping again. I secretly sighed at the scene. All Might finally look down and Katsuki glares at him from the corner of his eyes, his tears visible. "I'll become a hero that even surpasses you without you telling me!" Katsuki was obviously triggered as he tried to sound as cool as possible.

"Huh?" All Might immediately release Katsuki's shoulder. "Ah, right," All Might seemed confused as he stared at Katsuki's back as Katsuki gave me another gentle push indicating our cue to leave. I looked back at All Might and Izuku and gave them a slight nod with a small smile, telling them a 'sorry' before turning back to look at Katsuki who was still trying to calm down.

We exited the school gate and I was still unconsciously staring at Katsuki for the entire time as we walked. "Stop staring," Katsuki voiced out before realisation hit me. I immediately turned my head to look in the opposite direction as my cheeks burnt embarrassment.

"S-Sorry," I stuttered out nervously. We awkwardly stayed silent for a few minutes before I decided to break the tense silence.

"Katsuki..." I called out softly. He hummed again as he glanced at me from the corner of his eyes. "Are you really okay? I was really worried when I saw you crying," I said gently as I stared at him with my brows furrowed and concern was written on my face.

Katsuki turned his head to fully face me. I could see his cheeks becoming a light shade of pink, even his ears were tinted pink. "Y-Yeah..."

I didn't know why but seeing him blush made my heart beat faster and I unconsciously said "Cute," out loud.

"Huh?" Katsuki stopped walking as he looked at me, his face redder than before. Sh*t! Did I say that out loud? We both stopped walking and I could feel my face heating up in even more embarrassment. At that point, I just wanted to dig a hole and hide in it.

We stared at each other in just a state of shock and Katsuki suddenly pulled me into a hug as he buried his face in my neck. I was so stunned by his abrupt actions that I just froze.

I could feel how warm his face was. "Don't call me 'cute'..." Katsuki's voice was muffled as he said that.

My heartbeat quickly picked up its pace and I didn't know what came over me but I slowly wrapped my arms around Katsuki's torso and I could feel his muscles getting tense before relaxing again.

We stayed like that for a while before Katsuki let go of me and grabbed my arm to put around his shoulder and wrapped his other arm around my waist so that he could support me again. He faced the other way whilst I just stared at him.

"Let's go, it's getting dark," he mumbled out but loud enough for me to hear.

Due to my brain not functioning, I just blurted out "Huh...? Go where?" as I continued to stare at him.

Katsuki turned back to look at me with confusion before breaking out into a smirk, showing amusement. "To your house, idiot," he said softly with a chuckle as he pulled me along.

My heart was still beating fast and my cheeks were still warm as we walked. Baka...what am I even saying anymore?
