Dedicated to all my readers and specially to my parents friends and wattpad friends who always support me.
ONE HOUR TWENTY MINUTES AND FOUR SECONDS!
That's how my timer showed. You may think I am running a marathon. But absolutely not.I am in a vehicle slow marathon. Not for a competition but to reach my destination.I just let my mind dance to the song played in the radio not more than a minute passed when my eyes abruptly spotted two familiar faces."How could it even possible". I pushed my thoughts aside and somehow manage to park the car in a side in this huge traffic."Mam! Sir!" I called the old couple whom were walking slowly in the narrow street facing back to me.Ignoring my call they let themselves walk straight like nothing heard."Mamma Papa".Not a second passed to turn their heads this time. The dark four orbs directly mingled with my two brown orbs with a clear amusement.
"Little Fiora" In a blink of an eye I was in the warmth of the most beautiful women in this world.
"Mama"
"No its Mamma Little Fiora"
"Mama". The melodious sound which is more pleasing than to music brought harmony to my ears. She stopped her laugh and kissed my temple with the usual bright smile.
"Yes I am your Mama". "So, Do you like the new dress my Little Fiora.
"Yeah its beautiful than the pevous pech fock".
"Oh really! How are you my doll". I was carefully taken from momma's arms and secured in the arms of Papa.
"Yes Papa, I love it".I smiled widely showing my white tiny teeth.
"Hey Little Fiora. This is for you" My extremely pretty sister handed me a slab of chocolate with the same angelic smile inherited from her parents."Little Fiora".
I was taken back from the valley of past memories from the voice of Mamma.
"Where were you both going?"
The weak smile which was dangling in their lips suddenly dropped down while the heads bowed to the floor.
"Mamma Papa" my voice sounds gross. Without wasting another millisecond, I pulled both of them to my embrace to tighten with a warm hug letting their minds to wash over the grief clogged in their souls.
I was just four years old playing in the garden with my friends when my eyes landed on a beautiful couple along with an adorable girl around ten years who were walking to the main building.Later the day we were seated in the dinning room waiting for the lunch to be served.Once again the same couple and the girl must be their daughter were seated along with the Principle in the guest table. After having the lunch I had to stand up and give the "Thank You" speech.Like always this time once again I started stammering due to my shyness and lack of confidence .Not like many people who visits us for their donations laugh or threw their sly smiles to me, instead I was offered with the most alluring smiles and started to nod their heads to boost my confidence. To my utter surprise I stopped stammering and did the best speech for the first time. The whole dinning room was engulfed with the claps of the crowd. That day became one of the notable days in my life. This family became my family.Mr and Mrs Wijenayake became my parents their only daughter became my own sister. This family's affection and love realized me the bitter truth. Why should I think about my own parents anymore who left me in a street which I ended up living in a foster house forever. I made a mental note to myself
This rich but generous family always showered their undivided love to everyone of us.I was stolen their hearts the very first day. I got the permission to call them Mamma and Papa which I was yearning to say from the day I got my ability to speak. They never wanted to support us to be popular but by their genuine hearts to build us a better life not only in materials but along with healthy and strong mentality.Still I keep the Laptop I was gifted by Wijenayakye couple when I passed my Advance Levels with flying colors and the Tablet from sister Swetha the daughter of them for my 21st birthday though I could buy them by my own now as a Software Engineer.
My mind was still swirling in the whirlpool of curiosity to know what has actually happened to this sweet couple.Where is my Sister Swetha. I should definitely find the answers for my inner turmoil.
