The rest of the day passed by rather quickly and their last hour arrived, a Charms class that they had with Wampus students. She had also found out that Charms had been Kanisha's favourite class at Hogwarts.

The classroom filled up and students began sitting together with their friends, mostly of the same house but there were a couple of students that sat with students from the other House.

It was a rather large room with tables for four people, so Lucas, Kanisha and Amara claimed one for themselves. They talked for a while, before Amara felt a hand touch her shoulder, making her to turn around.

"Mind if I sit next to you?" Standing right in front of her was the one and only Jonathan Miller, Quodpot Captain of the Wampus House. "My friend group is with five, so one of us had to sit somewhere else."

"Uh, please, do sit. I don't mind. I really don't—" Amara quickly cut herself off as she noticed that she had begun rambling. With all of her focus, she tried to keep her hair brown, not wanting to embarrass herself even more.

The four of them sat in silence and Amara noticed Kanisha shifting uncomfortably in her chair. She was just about to say something about it when someone walked into the classroom.

"Hello, students." Amara shot a questioning look towards Lucas, but he didn't seem to understand either. "My name is Wanda Flora, your new Charms teacher."

"What happened to Professor Kyle?" One of the students, one of Jonathan's friends, if she was correct, asked. A lot of other students also began saying things about how they wanted to know too.

"He decided to quit because of his old age," the new teacher, Professor Flora, explained to them as she took in the class. "Alright, because this is the first day for the both of us, I'll repeat a couple of spells that you learned last year and see how much you remember. The rest of the lesson, I'll talk about what we're going to do this year.."

"What does Colloportus do?" Professor Flora asked, but only to be disappointed. "Does anyone know? Anyone? Miss Rossi?"

"It's used to lock doors, Professor," Amara answered, tucking a stray of her hair behind her ear. For an unknown reason, Amara never liked answering a question, not because she didn't know, because most of the times she did, but probably because of the attention but she wasn't sure.

"Yes, thank you." The Professor went on to ask some more, pointing out random students to answer them. Most of them knew it, but when someone didn't remember the woman began talking how one of these spells could be the thing that saved their life.

Amara thought it was quite weird having a new Professor because all those other years she was used to Professor Kyle, who mostly just explained a lot and barely interacted with the students. But Professor Flora was different and it wasn't really a bad different.

Amara had always been fascinated by the night, by the stars. But she had always admired them from her bedroom window, never did she dare watch them outside. Not even when she was at home, because she knew that wouldn't change her view as she lived in a very busy city.

But today was different. Together with Kanisha, she made her way out of the Common House trying to make sure they weren't caught by the teachers who slept there too.

The doors weren't locked yet, Amara had heard from a lot of students how the Caretaker never really remembered to lock them as he was becoming old, but hours later a Professor would check it and probably lock it.

Kanisha opened the door and when it creaked, both of the girls stiffened. While Kanisha quickly walked through the door, Amara shot a look over her shoulder, but no one had seemed to hear it.

"Amara," Kanisha whispered, waving her hand through the air, when she still hadn't moved. "We should hurry, just in case a Professor did hear it and checks it out."

"Alright." The two girls began running, following the path, until Kanisha took a right turn instead of left, right towards one of the cliffs, which luckily did have a fence. But Amara had always been horrified someone might trip and fall over the small fence.

"Kanisha?" Amara had stopped in her tracks, watching the other girl approach the fence.

"It's alright, don't worry." Kanisha turned around with a big smile of her face, but Amara couldn't return it. "Really, come."

She extended her hand, waiting for Amara to take it, who hesitated for a while, but then gripped the other girl's hand.

Together, they slightly ran to the fence and when they reached it, Amara's breath hitched.

The landscape stretched out as far as she could see, with a couple of mountains, and right above it were the stars.

"Wow," Amara breathed out, "this is so— I don't even know how to describe it."

"At Hogwarts, I used to sneak out just to watch the stars," Kanisha told her, as they both stared at the stars.

"You didn't get caught?" Amara asked her surprised.

"Well, once or twice I did get caught and got a lot of detention for it." The girls burst out laughing, which could still be heard seconds after they had stopped. "But it was definitely worth it."

"Look, there's Cassiopeia!" Excitement ran through Amara as she remembered why she loved this so much.

"You like Astronomy?"

"I love it," Amara said, still not taking her eyes of the stars. "It just gives me a really different feeling than other things."

For a while, they watched the stars, until they decided to get back before one of the Professors would lock the doors as usually when they noticed the Caretaker didn't do it. But somehow, the Headmaster never wanted to fire the old man.

It didn't take long to get back to the Common House and when they reached it, Amara told Kanisha, "I want to thank you, I honestly haven't had this much fun since a long time."

"There's really no need to thank me, Amara."

The duo walked towards the Thunderbird statue, though before either could ask the other about who would answer, footsteps could be heard walking down the stairs.

Remembering the spot behind the stairs, Amara took Kanisha's hand and sprinted towards it. Her breathing began to pick up when she heard the footsteps coming closer.

She tried thinking of an excuse to tell the Professor, but couldn't find one. Her mind had completely blackened out now she needed it most.

The footsteps came closer, but stopped somewhere in the middle of the room. A shadow could be seen on the wall in front of the girls, showing them the figure of a Professor looking around the room.

"Hello? Who's there?"
