Yeah, it's Infinity War

This first story was requested by a friend, NinjagoGal. She has her own book similar to this one (check it out!). I was asked to rewrite the ending of my favorite movie. I don't remember the ending of Valerian well enough to rewrite it (I was too satisfied with it anyways), so I just decided to rewrite the ending of Infinity War....

There are only a few minor changes that I made to the rest of the movie to make this possible. To start, Loki is, instead of being disguised as Banner, out in the open this time. After Thanos and his posse end up leaving, Loki tries to preserve some of the Asgardian ship for himself, Thor, and Valkyrie, who is barely clinging to life. The real Hulk is on Earth, having witnessed Thanos in a limbo between himself and Banner. Events occur relatively the same, except Valkyrie goes with Thor to Nidavellir, and Loki stays with the GOTG. Gamora is still captured, and Thanos still recieves the soul stone. The battle on Titan is where everything changes.

Thanos appears on Titan. He looks at Dr. Strange. "I take it the Maw is dead."
"Yeah. I hope the same won't need to happen with you."
"I beg your pardon?"
"You made quite the mistake doing this."
"What I am doing is giving the universe a better future. What about that does nobody understand?"
"What I meant was that you shouldn't have decided to mess with the sorcerer supreme."

            Strange knew what he was doing. In all the possible outcomes he saw, only three were even remotely favorable. One where Thanos lives, succeeds, and never again becomes a threat, one where he is killed, and another where he lives and three of the stones are destroyed. Strange was hoping for the last of the three, but that all depended on whether or not Loki's trick worked.

       
             Loki was hiding behind some wreckage. He was ready for Strange to give him a signal to make an illusion of Strange pulling a moon down on Thanos. It had worked, and Thanos attempted to stop it with the power stone. Being an illusion, the moon just kept going. Strange quickly opened a portal that Iron Man came out at an alarming speed, fists enlarged. The blow knocked Thanos back, where he slid on the ground. Strange had another portal open, which Thanos slid through. It led to a colossal fall. He tried to grab onto the ground in front of him, but Strange closed the portal, slicing off his right hand.

              He still had his gauntlet. He started to fall, and used the space stone to slow it. Spiderman, who was waiting on the ground, started firing long-range webs at Thanos, who was now entangled. When he was close enough, Iron Man pushed Thanos to the ground with the help of Spiderman, Star Lord, and Strange. Thanos broke free, pushing everyone back.

            Loki, who wasn't far away, signaled for Nebula and Drax to attack. He makes them appear to have multiplied thousands of times. Thanos started to fire beams at random, but he didn't hit his attackers. Drax and Nebula both stabbed Thanos in the  shoulder. "You should have killed me when you had the chance." Nebula said. "It would have been a waste of parts!" Thanos yelled, throwing Nebula into the pile of metal where Loki was hiding. He was seen, but he still had one last trick up his sleeve. "HULK!"

             An illusion of the Hulk ran at Thanos. Thanos looked over at it. He didn't believe that the illusion was real, but Loki just needed him to divert his attention. He and Mantis rushed him, while Iron Man, Spiderman, Drax, Nebula, Star Lord, and Strange all attacked his front at the same time. Loki stabbed Thanos in the back, and Mantis jumped onto his back, subduing him. Spiderman holds his legs down with loads of webs, Iron Man holds his hand open with his special suit, and Strange holds the gauntlet with strands of metal, starting to pull it off. The rest of the group held him on the other parts of his body.

          "Just so the record stands, this was my plan." Star Lord said. Iron Man had actually done more of the plan, but that didn't matter. "Alright. Where's Gamora?" Star Lord said. Thanos only had grunts for a reply. "He is feeling anguished!" Mantis said. "Good." Star Lord said. "He mourns!" Mantis wailed. "What... could this monster possibly have to mourn?" Drax asked. But the answer was hanging in the air like poisonous gas. And Star Lord choked on it. "Asshole! Tell me you didn't do it!" He yelled. "I... had to..." Thanos groaned. Star Lord glared at Thanos with fiery rage. "Wait, wait, I know you're upset, but please, we almost have the gauntlet off." Iron Man pleaded. Star Lord didn't wait, however. He punched Thanos, making Mantis fall off him. Thanos then yanked the gauntlet away. He closed his fist. But before he could do anything, Loki stabbed Thanos in the back of the neck. Star Lord shot Thanos in the face several times, blasting it open. Strange took the gauntlet off of Thanos, who fell to the ground, dead. Strange put on the gauntlet, and vanished.

        Now I know this probably isn't faithful to either the comic or cinematic universe, but this is how I would have this battle go if it were up to me. I had fun while making it, so I assume that's the entire point. Oh yeah, and Vision is still alive. So is T'challa. And Bucky. And Groot. You're welcome.
