AMIYA POV

I was at empire I was in a meeting with mom but Becky my dads assistant wanted to see me

Amiya: hey Becky u wanted me

Becky: yes ur dad wanted to see u he's in his office

Amiya: ok

I walked in my dads office and him and Anika was sitting there

Lucious: have a seat sweetheart we wanna talk to u

Amiya: ok

Lucious: so I hear ur gonna let ur mom mange ur career

Amiya: yes I'm so excited 

Lucious: are u sure this is a good idea

Amiya: yeah plus dad before u say anything about school mom already told me school comes first

Lucious: what about college are u still gonna go

Amiya: umm about that I'm not gonna go I've changed my mind

Lucious: but Amiya we agreed on u going to college and u told me u wanted to go

Amiya: I know but I really wanna start my career and more than I wanna go to college

Lucious: Amiya I'm gonna be straight with u I don't think u should get into this business u need to focus on ur original plan

Amiya: no no dad I mean come on music and acting and being influencer is all I've been talking about u know I get it u just don't want me to work with mom

Anika: what ur dad is saying is that education comes first he knows u love singing and acting and he's not against it but education comes first plus he doesn't want u in competition with ur brothers

Amiya: with all due respect Anika this has nothing to do with u this a conversation between me and my father so u can go

Lucious: Amiya .....

Anika: it's fine Lucious I will leave

Anika left

Lucious: what the hell is wrong with u talking to Anika like that have some respect

Amiya: she's not my mother

Lucious: she was there when ur mother wasn't

Amiya: u act like she's been there my whole life u only been with her for a couple of years and she's never tried to get to know me

Lucious: where is all this attitude coming from I don't get u

Amiya: and I don't get u dad u know music is all I wanna do and all ur trying to do is turn me into Andre

Lucious: what's wrong with Andre he has a degree in business if u go to college u will have a degree to turn back on if this music career doesn't work

Amiya: wow dad good to know u believe in me

Lucious: look u can do whatever it is u wanna do just wait at least two years let ur brothers shine first

Amiya: u mean Hakeem because god know if Jamal the gay shines

Lucious: Amiya the disrespect is unnecessary right now so keep it up and u won't be releasing any music I don't care if it's on SoundCloud or any other of those music sites or get an audition it won't get out now out of my office
