Twitch POV

Doc had given you permission to be back in field work and you were ready. Or so you thought. It had happened so fast. A blast had gone off to your left throwing you into the wall next you you. You ears were ringing. Dust was every where. You look down and see large growing spots on your shirt. Trying to get up you fall back down from the pain. Now trying to crawl you slowly make your way to the exit. A rumble could be heard from over head. A pillar fell towards you. Quickly you roll the the right. The mass struck down and kicked up even more dust. A sharp pain came from your left leg. When the dust started to settle to look up to see the pillar on your leg. The building started to crumble around you. You close your eyes excepting your fate. "Not today." A familiar voice said. A black bandanna covering his face the man approached you. Sliding and pipe under the pillar he raised it just enough for you to slid your foot out. He than Picked you up and carried you out of the collapsing building. Setting you down he stood back up and turned way. "I have to go, until next time." He said walking off. You feel something in your pocket. You reach in and pull out a single bullet casing. The bullet that he had pulled out of you. It was on a small ring. This made you smile imagining the masked man making a weapon charm.

"The bomb went off when we arrived. Twitch has not been found. Wait never mind." Thermite said rounding the corner. You look back at him. Your face still caked with dust and drywall. Than he noticed your leg. Your shirt was red with blood. "Can I get some help?" You said reaching up. He slung your arm over his shoulder and helped you walk to the rest of the group. You look behind you and see the masked man watching you from afar. Some cars passed blocking him from your view. When they passed he was gone. You smiled to yourself while Doc cleaned your wounds. Dokkeabi came up to the group. "OK, I got the footage from before the blast, the building was cleared of civilians." She said as everyone sighed in relief. Retching back into you pocket you felt the new weapon charm. Than you felt something else. You pull out a sheet of paper with a ten digit code. You chucked to yourself realizing it was a phone number.

Later that night you punched the number into your phone. Your finger hovered over the call button. After a deep breath you hit it. One ring, a second ring. Than you heard the phone pick up. "I was starting to worry you didn't find my number." The voice said in his french accent. "I got it. Just wanted to be alone." You responded. "Liston, carefully." His tone had darkened. "The White Masks are planing something big. I don't know what but it's going to be big. I've seen multiply shipments so be ready." You eyes widened. "OK, keep me posted." You said your goodbyes and hung up.

The two of you continue to text in privet. A few times when you were out as soon as you would send out a text a chime would be heard from behind her. It made you smile that he was worried about her. But it made you wonder, why me. Why was he so interested in me.
