Ten Friends: Ninjago High [Complete]

Chapter 7

Skylor's POV

Today was the day. I am gonna participate in the Ninjago Games! They said that every student that is picked must participate, but no one wanted to go. So I kinda signed the others without telling them. What? I like challenges okay? Well, Jay, Cole and Nya would go anyways, because they are club leaders. Well, Nya is actually a vice-club leader since she is new. But Camille got sick yesterday and gave her role to Nya.

I met with the guys at lunch and well..

"What do you mean you set us for the Games?!" They said to me. Nya, Cole and Jay were trying to calm them down, keeping them from murdering me.

"Well, my father is hosting the Games.. and they needed ten students so.. We can see this as an opportunity to finally beat the other schools! Like Ghostville and Sky! Now who's with me!" I stood up on table and yelled.

Kai sighed and nodded his head while smiling. Lloyd and Pixal just went along with it, while Zane and Rumi agreed excitedly. But we had to train a bit so..

"Okay we all have to participate in one sport, with different people. Here, I got the sports that we will be getting.
Okay so Kai is in roller skating along with me, Seliel and Lloyd are in soccer, Zane and Pixal are in skating, Rumi is in acrobatics and the Club Leaders to their Clubs. Got it?" I said with confidence in my voice.

"Got it!" They all replied back but Kai seemed a bit unsure.

Right then and there the bell rang and we all headed to our classes. It was so boring, especially History Class. No offence Lloyd, but your mom is pretty boring as a teacher.

I waited after school and saw Kai putting some stuff in his locker so I went over to say hi. I asked him what's wrong, but he didn't say anything. And I ain't got any time for that. I pulled him by the ear dragged him to the school entrance and once again asked him what's wrong.

"Well, I-I don't know how to do roller skating okay?! You happy now?!" He admitted, blushing.

"It's okay. That's why I am here. And, don't worry, this is like, my second time roller skating." I said to him. He looked pretty surprised and blushed even more.

"R-really? You'll actually help me out?" He said to me.

"That's what training is for after all! Meet me at My father's Noodle shop in one hour okay?" I think I would prefer to meet there, my house is a bit messy.

"It's a date then! O-oh I mean, date in l-like, training form not like- Ugh never mind, see ya there!" Wait, d-does that mean he likes me back too? Probably not.. I saw him leave and I went home to get ready as well.

Okay fourty-five minutes have passed and I got ready rather quickly. I decided to work in my father's noodle shop while I was waiting. I don't think he'll come so early. And I needed to make some quick money to buy us equipment.

I was bringing a plate of noodles to a table when I bumped into someone. Luckily their clothes didn't get dirty and they managed to catch the plate just in time.

"Oh, hey! I thought you would be waiting at a table or something. Sorry I came here so early." I looked up to see Kai offering his hand to help me up. I got up and we both blushed.

"Oh right! Let's go!" I said, took off my apron and we headed to a nearby skating park.

I luckily, there was a shop nearby and we went to buy equipment. Kai insisted on paying, but I didn't work 20 minutes for no reason, so I managed to win our debate.

We went back to the skating park and put our skaters on. I turned around just to see Kai trying to stand up.
He was about to fall, but I quickly grabbed his arm to prevent him from hurting himself.

"Gotcha. You need to stand like this. It's like a bike. Don't lean towards one side. Just try to balance your mind and body." I told him holding his hand, till he gets used to it. After a minute or so,he was able to stand up.

After that, he learned everything quite quickly. He managed to run, but he still needs a bit of practice in his turns.

"Thank you for everything. It would have been so embarrasing. I owe you one." He said and hugged me.

"No problem." I said and hugged back.

"Kai? Can I admit something?" I said to him shyly. He just nodded. I grabbed his hands, this time on purpose.

"W-would you like to go on a date? I know this is akward, but I have liked you for the past few years and I finally have the guts to tell you.." I said looking down.

"Well, at least you said it first. My sister conviced me to make the first move, but you got me first.." He chuckled.

"I-I did?" I stuttered.

"Yeah! Heck, the others have been trying to convince me in forever! So.. woiuld you like to go after the games?" He said nervously. I simply nodded and we walked back home holding hands.

Zane's POV

Woohoo! The Games will be starting today! I met up with Pixal and we helped each other train. It was so embarrasing. Those uniforms are just too.. trendy and sparkly. At least Pixal likes them.

We all decided to meet up at the main hall. We are gonna meet Skylor's father Chen as well. He hosts the Games every year. I hope we win. We are going to write history today.

"Hey guys! This is my father Chen, the others are waiting for you! Come!" Skylor cut off my thoughts and told me and Pixal. We greeted her father, nodded and went to meet the others. We came up to them and said hi and started talking about our strategy.

Jay's POV

I was chatting with Kai, when I saw Nya chatting with a guy. He was wearing sunglasses, while he was a bit paler than me. She seemed a bit uncomfortable, so I had to get over there. But first-

"Hey ZapTrap! My face is over here you know!" Kai said to me, in his casual, overprotective tone.

I quickly snapped out of it and excused myself. Kai looked at me suspicious, but just let it slide away.
I went over to them and tried to make an excuse to get her away.

"Oh uh, hey Nya! Would you mind helping me out for a bit? I.. can't tie my shoes..!" I said giving her the 'play along with me' look.

"O-of course! Sorry, I have to go now."
She said akwardly and we quickly left. I shot the guy a death glare, while he smirked.

"Thanks. I owe you one." She whispered to me and giggled. Gosh, I love when she laughs. It is so amazing and-

"Looks like you weren't lying about tying your shoes earlier." She chuckled. I had fallen straight to the ground, realizing that my shoes where in fact untightened. We just laughed until we heard a voice coming from the speakers.

"HELLO EVERYONE! WELCOME TO THE NINJAGO GAMES! I AM MASTER CHEN AND THIS YEAR WILL BE FIYAAH!! LET THE NINJAGO GAMES
BEGIN! Only one can remain."

Woohoo! Let's work on part two now! And yes, I hope you guessed who that guy was. I am not gonna say anything just in case, it would be spoilers for the next chapter.
