Arthur's skin prickled with a nervous sensation. He knew he wasn't supposed to eavesdrop, it was incredibly rude, but....
He didn't like how close Kiku was to Alfred.
So he did it anyways.
Francis and Arthur edged closer to the American, careful not to set off any movements that would alert Alfred on what they were doing. Arthur slightly shoved Francis aside, moving forwards subtly. He heard part of the conversation.
"Okay, so like, I kinda sorta REALLY like Arthur." He heard Alfred whisper. Francis smiled and glanced at Arthur. Arthur's face looked like he got red paint chucked on him, and Francis thought that was too funny not to take a picture.
"Did I hear that correctly? That wasn't my imagination, right?" Arthur whispered to Francis. Francis shook his head with a soft smile. Oh the beautiful sight of love. "No, mon ami, you heard correctly. He loves you." Francis confirmed with a smirk. Arthur gasped softly, and covered his face. Most likely to hide his furious blush.
"Well, I never thought..." Arthur trailed off.
"You're going to tell him how you feel right?" Francis asked, concern for the two blondes leaking into his voice. Arthur shook his head. "I- what would people think of me? My reputation would be crushed by dating him!" Arthur cried out.
"Well, what do you think of him?" Francis questioned.
"Alfred? He would ruin my reputation if I dated him, I already told you that!" His voice escalated.
"W-what?" Alfred's voice cut through the two's shouting. Arthur's face paled. He whipped his head around to see Alfred's face fall into despair.
"A-Alfred! I didn't m-mean what- what I said!" He reached out, but Alfred was already running out of the classroom.
