my phone vibrated under my pillow waking me up sliding my hand under my pillow the phone was lit up bright as hell, squinting my eyes I turned the brightness down noticing i had a text from my pops, sucking my teeth I threw my phone down

Sitting up at scooted to the edge of the bed rubbing my eyes, picking my phone back up I went to the text my pops sent

Pops 💩 : things not looking so good with your mom you might wanna come down here and say your goodbyes before it's to late

My heart thumped in my chest this why I ain't like this nigga he ain't no how to do shit right not even take care of my damn mama

Grabbing my jacket , shoes and keys I got up and left out the room. Walking In the kitchen I noticed Cassidy in the living room cleaning up oh shit this is her house

"Yo cas c'mere lemme talk to you for a minute" I said sitting at the island table

Turning the vacuum off she made her way into the kitchen

"Wassup?" She asked sitting across from me

"My moms been sick for a while and I just got word that she not doing so good so I'm leaving later on today I might be gone for a couple weeks and I know you got a life and shit but ima need someone I can't do this shit alone"

"You want me to come?"

I didn't speak I just nodded my head

Sighing she ran her hands through her hair "alright I'll come but I might not be able to stay the whole time"

Grabbing her hand I placed it in mine "thank you I really appreciate this"

Smiling she pulled me into a hug "go ahead and get your stuff ready come pick me up when you done"

Nodding my head I pulled her into a hug before leaving

Sighing I ran my hand down my face as I threw random outfits into my suitcase, I was dealing with my own problems but here I was helping someone else with there's and making sure they were okay like always

Getting up I grabbed my perfumes and lotions putting them in the suitcase as well, my phone dinged letting me know I had a text

Zipping up my suitcase I grabbed my headphones and chargers putting it in my purse before turning off all my lights

Walking to his car he had his tented windows raised up

Opening the door I got in and looked over at him "You okay?"

Nodding his head he cranked the car up

4 hours later

Dave and Cassidy has just arrived at his aunt house , Dasani didn't want to stay in a house with his father for the night so he called up his aunt and she allowed them both to sleep their until their hotel was ready

Cassidy was a little iffy about staying at his family members house when she didn't even know them and him and her weren't even that far into a relationship to even be meeting each other's family members

"Don't worry about that I got it" Dave said referring to her luggage that she was about to get out of the car

Nodding her head she waited as he got all of the bags out of the car before following him up to the doorsteps

"I'm nervous" Cassidy said looking at Dave

Smirking Dave laughed a little at her shyness "girl chill out my aunt cool"
