Chapter one

I slammed my locker door shut then I shoved the lock back into place. I did a small jump to adjust my books that I was carrying, so they won't fall and cause a commotion. I hated my locker, its surrounded by the pretty girls and their annoyingly athletic boyfriends. The amount of 'excuse me' I have to say was ridiculous; just to get to my locker. I took my leave as soon as I was set. I went to the gathering area where my friends and I usually hang. I liked that place a lot since it never got too crowded, a water fountain was also nearby and it was close to the library and the science laboratory. The biggest reason why I like that spot was because I could always see you. You would always stand in the grand staircase that was placed in the middle of everything. You'd some times laugh with your friends or you'd sit around them using your phone. Sometimes I think our eyes meet but I was never too sure because i look away too quickly.

"Mia!" My shoulder jumped from the tap. I jerked my head to see who it was. Liza, one of my partners in crime. I met her ever since i started going to this school. She looked to the staircase, "Oh you were looking at your Oppa!" she said a little too loud like she wanted you to hear. Thank god you had your earphones on. I glared at her,

"Oh you wanna play that game? Fine!" I took a deep breath, "Liiiiaaaa-" she covered my mouth instantly. She would freak more than me if I called out to Liam, that one guy in my foods class. Coincidentally you and Liam was part of the same squad, though i never really see you guys talk. Maybe you guys were just part of the same clique.
As time went on, class finally started and before I knew it I was heading to my favourite class; Guitar. Obviously, because you were there. It was the only class we have together this semester, it was the only class I actually work my butt off, and it was the only class i get to talk to you. The teacher began roll-calling, after a couple of names, "Kai Hui?" You did a small hands up to let them know you're present. You took your guitar out its case and placed it on your lap. The way you hold your guitar makes you a thousand times hotter that you already are. You would strum the strings one by one to check if its in tune, if you were satisfied with how it sounded you would brush your hair back and listen to the teacher. I would always mess up roll call just because I'm too occupied with what you were doing. Everyone would giggle at me but I didn't mind because that too made you giggle; and I liked it.
After each lecture the class would always get free time to practice on their own. Me, Andrea, Cyra and Red would always pick a spot near the edge of the stage. The stage was in front of the staircase you and your friends gather around on every morning, lunches and dismissals.

"So Mia what should we do about the group project?" Andrea asked, "Are you gonna be with us or with him again?" They all gave me a smirk.

"Hey! Last time was his idea!" I said in defence. "It's not like I wanted to be around him" literally mumbling the last part.

"Hey Mia" that voice you use to call me out. It would never fail to make my heart skip. "Watcha' playin?" You asked as you sat down next to me.

"Well...I was just about to talk about that with Andrea." I looked at them and the were all giving me a weird look. I rolled my eyes. "Seriously?" I sighed.

"Look how about you pick the song this time? Didn't you insisted on playing 'Just The Way You Are' by Bruno Mars?" she continued, "Lets just do that." Everyone agreed and so did you, just like that you were already part of our group. Amazingly you didn't even had to ask. You just started playing with us and they just kinda went with it.

Time flies fast when fun is around so lunch time came and I was walking to the meeting place when Andrea suddenly said, "Dude, I feel like he does have feelings for you." I raised a brow at her. "Seriously! Have you seen him when he looks at you when you sing? Every time you guys play together and you start singing, he stares at you like you could melt."

"Pfft, I doubt it." I said, but actually I felt happy hearing it. It gives me this possibly false hope that you might like me back.

"You'll see. Try it tomorrow during our free practice. Just before you start singing the chorus, give him a quick glance. You'll see something you'll like." She zoomed off with a wink.
