How can I leave her here?It seems impossible.

He listens very contently. Just taking in all the sweet things that you feel about him.

Mrs. Park continued to talk.

"Also I have news about Jimin's departure" she says while picking up a small leather bound notebook. "He is leaving at 11:30 pm so, we would want to be at the airport at 10:00 so maybe leave here at 9:00?" Mrs Park asked to which you nodded.

"Yeah, that sounds good" you smiled slightly.

Jimin then walked in acting as if he didn't hear everything and walked over and sat on the couch beside you, taking your hand in his where he feels it should be. He leans back trying to be comfortable.

"Mom, why did you buy these? they are so uncomfortable" Jimin stated, not satisfied with the couch. Mrs. Park glances to Jimin and sighs.

"Because it's not the casual living room, it's the guest one, so it has to look formal" she stated with a small smile and her dear son.

She zones out for a few minutes, looking down at her fidgeting hands and then back to the two of you and smiled at the sight, her son leaning against the back of the so called uncomfortable couch, giggling like at a child as he was looking at the girl who was so treasured to him. His mother clears her throat gaining their attention.

"So I got an update a little while ago" she said gulped before continuing. "I found out how long Jimin will be gone away for" she said in a monotone. Jimin already knew, by the way his mother was acting, that this would be bad.

Jimin's friends already told you how long he would be gone for, so the answer wasn't going to be much of a surprise for you. But the hard part was going to be watching Jimin's reaction to him staying away from home for three years.

Three. God damn. Years.

Jimin clears his throat.

"And?" He says desperate, yet, trying to act calm.

"I'm so sorry Jimin" his mother says whisper like as a small drop falls from her eye. Jimin immediately rushes over and takes her hand.

"Mom, please tell me" he says while trying to comfort her.

She shakes her head. "It will be three years hun" she admits. "You will be gone for three years" she repeats.

You went limp seeing the pure sadness that entangled in the atmosphere.

Your heart clenched at there shared words. I mean sure you knew about it, but it's different hearing it and seeing your loved one fall into a pit of melancholiness.

You sat in the same position and let Jimin and his mother have their moment of anguish. You just let the tears flow down your cheeks and drip from your chin as you held in any sound so that you wouldn't distract them.

This was a time where a mother was beginning to be torn away from her son.

And that's a mother's worst nightmare.
