Yn's POV
Well, this has gone from bad to worse.
We were trying to find Freed and the excaliburs, and to cover more ground we all split up into three groups, the first being Irina and Xenovia, a group consisting of all the devils, and finally me, who was all alone
I had gotten a call from Koneko, and she said they had found Freed, which means that the fight would have been easy since he's far too arrogant to use a blade correctly, but that's when he showed up and made everything worse.
When I got to the location I was told about, I found Alex had arrived at the same time.
"Yn, about time you got here" Issei yelled "You think you can deal with that guy?" he asked as he pointed at Alex
I narrowed my eyes at him, I had barely any info on Alex's abilities, but I was told that rather than First he is the fastest Nephalem.
"I can try, he's probably here for me anyways" I looked over at all of them "Make sure to kill the priest and stay far away from me" I warned
"But we can help you once our battle is over" Koneko argued
I could see the look in her eyes, she didn't want to abandon anyone. There was something else, perhaps fear? Yes, it must be, after all, her past was pretty bad, when it comes to abandoning she must still think of her sister
I shook my head "He'd kill you all, or take you all hostage" I warned "You'll all only get in the way" I yelled, and some of them looked hurt, but they clearly understood that I was right, they didn't have the strength to stand up to one of us
"Aw, look at that, the little half breed is trying to protect his friends" Freed started to laugh "You know that once I'm done with these brats I'll bring the little miss over there to you while Alex kills you slowly. Then I'll violate and torture her right in front of your eyes!" he started caackling
However, I didn't find anything about what he said funny, I felt something snap. I took a step towards him, and he suddenly slouched forwards, I didn't even realize I was letting off so much pressure, I was focused on killing him
"What did you say?" I asked. Despite not being fully healed, and not being at one hundred percent of my power, even if I was only a bit over half, I decided I was going to kill this guy
"Take one more step and one of your friends arms will be ripped off" A voice rang out, and I looked over at Alex. He had a cold dead look in his eyes, he was serious, but so was I.
We stared at each other, the others were forced on their knees, and to them it seemed as if the ground had started to shake below us, like we had somehow become a new center of gravity
I knew that I couldn't hold him for too long, with what I was told about his speed I would need to somehow trick him, make a plan.
A single leaf that was blowing in the wind suddenly started to drop in front of us. We both took it as a sign, and prepared ourselves.
The second the leaf touched the ground Alex disappeared, and I felt the wind get knocked out of me.
I didn't even see what happened, I only knew that I went flying
3rd POV
Yn went flying from a kick that was delivered by Alex. He smashed through trees and rocks until everyone else was in the distance.
He was rolling on the ground until he finally stopped, coughing and trying to regain his breath. He looked up to find Alex slowly walking towards him
"What do you know, seems like it actually worked" he smirked "Come on, get up"
Yn rose to his feet, glaring at the other Nephalem. He quickly summoned his mask, but another kick was sent to his stomach, making him slide back
"Dammit!" he yelled, he needed time. He activated his eye, immediately creating a giant magic circle in front of him, a wave of lightning came rushing out of it.
However Alex had already vanished, Yn was ready this time, he actually expected this. He made his guardian appear behind him, and it took the next blow, grabbing Alex's foot at the same time. Alex's expression changed, he was surprised, immensely so
Yn summoned his hammer, while the guardian started to swing Alex one was Yn swung his hammer as well, making Alex's rib cage and the hammer smash into each other, sending him flying into a boulder
However Yn dropped the hammer, holding his side while groaning in pain
"The hell did you do?" he asked Alex, but as he did he created an illusion, quickly taking out his phone and dialing a number, but to his surprise a rock was thrown and smashed the phone
"Lily is going to kill me" he muttered, and looked back at Alex, who was glaring at him "You should pay attention if you want me to explain something to you" he said
"What the hell do your remnants do?" Yn asked as he picked up his hammer, slinging it over his shoulder as his left arm transformed into the blaster mode, the multiple barrel version
Alex snickered "Simple really, I'll tell you a bit, but not all, what's the fun in that?" he asked, but Yn gave him a blank stare, Alex clear his throat "Anyways, one of my remnants allowed me to temporarily transfer any damage I got to you, and you should know your illusions won't work either"
Yn tilted his head "Am I doing something wrong?" he asked
"No, another ability I have is more of a phrase" he said "See no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil" he spoke, however it only confused Yn "Simply put illusions don't affect me, nor do lies people try to tell me" he said but Yn thought of something "But that's only two, what about the third?" he asked, but he got no response
Yn smirked "Let me guess, you can't lie to people in return, can you?" he asked, but again all he got was silence
"You should know that those are only two abilities out of four" he warned "Though I'm sure you've already figured out one of them" he said
Yn nodded "You're fast, extremely fast, personally I don't know if I can keep up, but it's still worth a shot" he said "I release six of my seals!" he yelled, causing a violent red aura to surround him "But if I can't use my illusions, then I may as well do this" he smirked, throwing the mask into the air
When it fell, it wasn't a mask, but Yui stood there
"Master, it's nice to see you again" she said as she hugged him tightly "Yui! It's not the time for this!" he argued, and she obeyed with a sigh
Alex looked Dumbfounded, but shook his head a moment later "I shouldn't be surprised that you can do that, you should have the power to do so"
Yn narrowed his eyes, he needed to be careful now, he still didn't know about the fourth and final ability
Alex cracked his neck, the ground started to deteriorate around him as he looked at Yn with a deadly stare "This, is where the real battle starts, prepare yourself"
A/n: Alright, I've had a bit of writers block for this, and I know this chapter wasn't very good, but I kind of need to get back into writing about this.
