Chapter One

Esarosa's POV

Aeliana and I quickly got dressed and headed down to our office. "Jensen where is Rebecca?" I asked

"She is with the girl in your guys office." He replied.

"Ok good." I replied.

We all walked in silence the rest of the way. Once we got to the office we opened the door and walked in.

A small girl came running at Aeliana. "Hi. hi. hi." She chanted. "Up.up.up." she said as she held up her hands to Aeliana.

Aeliana smiled and picked the girl up. "Well hello there. I am Aeliana. What is your name?" she asked the small girl.

"Keyra" the small girl replied.

"Keira." Rebecca said correcting the girls pronunciation.

Keira turned her head to Rebecca and nodded. "Yup. Yup. That's what me said. Keyra."

We all laughed lightly at the girl.

"How old are you?" I asked the girl.

"Tree." Keira said holding up three fingers.

"That's right three." Rebecca said.

Keira looked at me "who are you?"

"I am Esarosa." I replied.

"Aleena and Rosa." Keira said trying to say our names.

I looked closely at Keira. She has shoulder length black hair that almost looks blue in some light. 'just like Aeliana's' I thought to myself.

Keira's eyes were honey coloured with green specks in them. 'Hazel coloured maybe?' I asked myself.

"Keira. Do you know who your parents are?" Aeliana asked the girl. She was still holding her.

Keira shook her head no. "But mommy brought me here. She said I would be safe here." Keira replied.

Aeliana looked at Jensen and he nodded and headed off. Than she looked at me. 'I sent him to look around. See if he could find a scent similar to the girls.' She mind linked me.

'Good idea.' I replied. than I mind linked Rebecca 'how would you describe Keira?'

'She looks an awful lot like Alpha Aeliana. their hair is identical. Their eyes are similar shaped and coloured accept Keira has green in hers.' Rebecca replied.

'I agree. Can you ask for king Jaxson and Queen Elena to come here? don't do it now though.'

'Of course alpha. Should I ask for your mom to come back?' Rebecca asked. She was saddened everytime she called my mom 'mom' instead of Jennie.

'No. She is visiting her parents.'

'Ok.'

We all continued to talk with Keira. Than I got an idea. "Why don't we raise her as our own? The note did say for us to protect her and look after her."

"That is true." Rebecca said.

I looked at Aeliana and she had a huge smile on her face. "I would love that idea." She finally replied.

I mind linked my sisters Monique and Sam to come to the office. There was a soft knock and both of them came in.

"You called for us?" Sam asked.

"Yes. Can you guys take Keira and feed her? maybe take her outside to play." I asked them.

Both girls smiled and Sam held out her hand "what do you say kiddo want to come with us?"

Keira's stomached growled. she hopped up and ran over to Sam taking her hand "yes please. Me hungry."

Aeliana, Rebecca and I watched as the three girls walked out of the office. They even closed the door behind themselves.

Rebecca was the first to speak. "As much as having Keira apart of this pack. She smells human. How can we be safe?"

"She must be some kind of supernatural or her mother never would have brought her here." I pointed out.

Rebecca sighed. "That is true."

There was knock on the door.

"Come in." Aeliana said.

The door opened and Jensen, Rob and Ron all came in.

I frowned slightly and suddenly felt anxious. Aeliana felt my sudden change and came over to me. "What is wrong?" She asked them.

They all bowed and than Rob said "Ron and I have been tracking a scent since this morning. We followed the scent and found a young woman dead. We have brought the woman back here. Alpha's the scent is very similar to the young girl with your sisters."

We all stood up. "Please take us to the woman."

"Of course. But alpha's I must warn you. The woman doesn't look good." Ron said.

I realized I could smell blood all over the three men.

They led us to the morgue and immediately I could smell human blood with the hint of something else.

Rob opened the door and held it open. We all walked inside.

I saw dr. Carlyle and dr. Snider standing over a body.

Both doctors turned around sad expressions on their faces.

"What has happened to her?" Aeliana asked them.

"Well it looks like she was chained and beaten. She has deep cuts in her legs and she is covered in dirt." Dr. Snider said.

"Why couldn't we smell her blood?" Rob asked.

"That's the thing we aren't sure why. She isn't covered in blood. It's like the dirt stopped it." Dr.Carlyle said shaking his head slightly.

"We will have to do some research. Find out what kind of supernatural this young women is. Than we have to also find out who she is. Someone out there is worried about her." Dr. Snider said.

"Ok lets all go and see what we can find out." Aeliana said.

I turned to Rebecca. "Can you see if you can get ahold of the vampire writings. They might no something."

She nodded her head and mind linked me. 'should I have king Jaxson and Queen Elena come'

I nodded and she went off to do as I asked.

I watched as everyone went off to do something. I walked over to the young woman and lifted the sheet off of her face.

I looked closely at the woman. "No. It can't be." I said out loud.

I stumbled back and heard something crash to the floor.

"Esarosa what is it?" I heard Aeliana ask.

"Its.. i mean she is......." than I burst into tears.
