The Horrors Of Our Minds

Chapter 3 ( Hannah )

'' Come on Naomi, answer. '' I keep on calling Naomi again and again hoping that she'll answer. I lay down on my bed still calling Naomi. Finally she answered.

''What Hannah I'm playing!''

''I just called you to tell you that we are going to go to the farm in an hour, Tessa really wanted to go there.''

''Well you better pick me up then.''

''Yeah yeah Tessa will drive us there''

''Good''

I hear the long 'peep' meaning that she hang up on me.  I get up from my bed and stretch my arms knowing that this day is gonna be a long day. I start packing everything I need, flashlight, phone, wallet, a book, water bottle and my headphones. I turn off the lights and go down stairs. I make sure that every light is turned off and grab my jacket, then I go outside.

I sit on my stairs that are freezing cold making me jump up. I place my jacket down and sit on it. 

''Well better then on my bare ass.''

Me and Teresa have been friends for a long time , me and Naomi... not so much because we still have small fights in school and everywhere else. Tessa has been our friend since the 4th grade, she moved schools and came to our school in the 3rd grade but we got to know each other a year later. Us as friends could be a family.

 Teresa is the one who keeps everyone in line and makes sure we don't fool around making her the parent, Naomi acts like a child many times, she is really clumsy and is really bad at talking like a little kid, but she doesn't mind she actually laughs at it herself

Tessa is like the teenager, really annoyed all the time, doesn't really give a shit, and she'll beat someone up especially if the make fun of me, Naomi or Teresa, I still remember this one situation, I think it was in the 5th grade. Someone was talking shit about Teresa who is Tessa's best friend and she punched him in the face so hard that he fell on the ground, and we all got detention because we laughed at him and didn't help him.

And even though I hate it I am the old person, because the others keep on saying that I complain all the time, and I have problems with my back. I really wouldn't like to be the old person, but if that's who I am if we were a family then I'll be it.

*Honk* *Honk* Hooooonk*

I get up and grab my jacket, I run into Tessa's car and she drives on the highway.

''What were you dreaming of'' Naomi asks me like a little kid asking their parents for candy.

''About your stupid face'' I reply with a smirk.

I hear Tessa mumble ''Oh my god'' under her breath.

''That was the worst roast I have ever heard.'' She says, Teresa just rolls her eyes at Tessas comment.

''Yeah because the idiot in this car isn't me but it's Hannah, but shes just such an idiot that she doesn't understand it''

''OOOO ROASTEEED''

''Tessa shut up and keep your eyes on the road!'' Teresa yells and takes out her phone. ''And you two in the back stop roasting each other.''

''Yes mom'' We answer in a sarcastic voice. The car ride is silent, Teresa is listening to music and staring out the window, Naomi is drawing and listening to music. I just look out the window and stare at the lake we're driving past. The sun is shining on the lake melting the small amount of ice that has already formed on the lake from the cold nights. I yawn and my eyes start to feel heavy, I lean against the window and close my eyes slowly falling asleep.

''Get up Hannah!''

I wake up to the sound of Teresa shouting at me.

''Hmh I'm uh... what?'' I open my eyes and look around, I see that we're outside of a MacDonalds. Tessa and Naomi are talking about something in front of the car.

''We are gonna eat, wanna come?''

''sure'' I get up from the car and take my phone with me,  I close the car door and Tessa locks her car. We go in and start looking at the menu. Tessa is already in front of the cashier. 

''Can I get uuuuuh..... A double chicken hamburger with extra salad?''

''Sure thing'' 

*Time skip*

We get back in the car.

''Ugh I'm so full!'' Tessa complains giving the car keys to Teresa who'll drive until the next stop.

''Well why did you order the double chicken hamburger and then even eat Hannah's hamburger that she couldn't eat.'' Naomi laughs and goes in the back seat with me.

''I'm not wasting food!''

Tessa eats like five horses but she's still super skinny, even if she eats 10 pounds she'll only gain around 2 pounds. Teresa starts driving and Tessa and Naomi start talking about homework, I just tune the conversation out and stare out the window.
