"Why would you do that? It's already a huge mess knowing that a witch is staying with us and don't get me wrong, I like Gemma. I think she's cool but to have two witches here, it's not going to be okay after others find out." Corwin begins explaining.
"I know but I can't go back now. Not after Kathleen threatened to tell the council that Gemma is my mate. Which I know she will tell them because she can't stand the fact that I don't want her."
Just then, the door to my office get's busted open and in stomps an angry Lorraine up to me. I just knew she was going to yell at me for kicking her sister out. Although she doesn't want her here either. So I was getting ready for her yelling and screaming at me.
"What the hell is your problem?!" She yells at me.
"Lorraine, look..." I'm stopped as she interrupts me.
"No you listen to me! She's an awesome person and for you to be the asshole that you are just so you can have all your skanky girls come over every night, doesn't mean you can be so selfish in kicking her out and not ask me or anyone else in this house first if it's okay!" She snaps at me.
"I thought you'd be happy about this if anything. You have always talked about kicking her out!" I snap back at her.
"I've never said anything like that about her. Don't try to make shit up so that you look like the good guy!"
"What are you talking about? I'm not, it's been long enough and she needs to go!" I tell her with finality in my voice.
"Are you seriously going to allow him to do this?!" She glares at Corwin.
"Yeah. Babe you yourself have wanted her out since she first moved in." He points out to her.
"What is the matter with you guys? Fine Corwin, you can sleep on the couch tonight then!" She snaps at him before looking back at me. "And as for you, ALPHA, I'm gonna get you for this." She warns me and then starts making her way towards the door.
"Wait a minute." I stop her.
"What?!" She stops and turns around glaring at me with her arms crossed over her chest.
"Since when do you suddenly care about me kicking out your sister? I mean I know she's your sister but you guys aren't close and you've been begging me for a long ass time. Why the sudden change?" I asked confused and yet frustrated at the same time.
"My sister?! I'm not talking about Kathleen. I'm talking about Gemma!" She snaps.
"What do you mean? I'm not kicking out Gemma!" I tell her.
"Then why is Kathleen going around telling everyone that you are kicking her out, especially since she's your mate?" She asks me.
I glance over at Corwin who is avoiding eye contact with me.
"You told her?" I asked feeling a bit upset that he had to tell her.
"So what if he did? I don't care. She's badass and the only one that has been able to put you in your place and not be afraid of your other pack members that are assholes." She snaps at me. "Not to mention that I won't say anything. But back to Gemma leaving, if you didn't say that, then why would..." She stops as soon as we hear an uproar of loud laughter and Kathleen screaming from what sounds like is coming from the living room.
We all begin running out as soon as we can to see what's going on and sure enough, we see everyone standing around looking at Kathleen, laughing really hard as we join them too after stopping and seeing Gemma standing off to the side, smirking as she's got Kathleen in the air who's kicking, screaming and yelling from frustration.
"Put me down bitch!" She yells out at Gemma.
"Are you sure you want me to put you down?" Gemma asks.
"Yes bitch!" She yells out again at her.
"Okay...." Gemma grins and then as soon as she puts her hand down, Kathleen drops down hard onto the ground.
She gets up and glares at Gemma and looks as though she's about to attack her. That's when I step in and stop her.
"Stop it Kathleen. It was just a joke." I tell her while trying not to laugh.
"Oh sure, real funny." She says livid. "Are you seriously not going to say anything?!" She snaps at me.
"Nope." I tell her as I put extra pop on the 'p'.
"Fine! Your family with think otherwise." She storms off while grabbing her suitcase and purse before leaving.
"Okay guys, show's over." I tell them and everyone leaves to do what they're supposed to do.
"I'm sorry Alpha that I wasn't more specific and for believing my sister in the first place." Lorraine bows her head down.
"It's okay. Don't worry about it." I tell her.
"Thank you." She smiles and then both her and Corwin leave.
I look over at Gemma who is trying hard not to laugh and tries to hide her smile.
"What?" She asks me.
"Nothing. That was pretty funny though." I tell her.
"I thought so too." She chuckles to herself.
