Chiffon's pov:

Today was weird. This random kid asked if I wanted to hang out and I have him my number. "Wow what a complete idiot!" I slammed my hand against the wall realizing my mistake. I shouldn't have given that kid my number.
I began feeling sick to my stomach as I felt the sudden urge to throw up. Am I overthinking this? Am I overreacting? I don't know. I just felt regret. Maybe it was the cake. Yeah it was the cake! I felt as if lying to myself was the only way to feel better. I took my phone out of my pocket as I knew that there was a chance the kid might've texted me. 'What type of idiot carries a slip of paper with their number in their pocket?" I frowned as I closed my eyes. 'Oh right. Me!'
I started pacing around the room cringing at how much of an idiot I had been today. I groaned as I noticed a text from a unknown number. 'Might be the kid'. At this point not much mattered since there was nothing I could do. I could change my number but then I'd have to waste time on that. I'm lazy in general so it was pointless.
I decided to respond to the text. It basically ended up going down a little like this.

Kid: So wanna hang out???

Me: No.

Kid: why not?? :(

Me: I don't know you and you don't know me.

Kid: we could know each other if we hang out! :)

Me: no.

I sighed as I knew I got myself into a mess. Welp I'm screwed! There's nothing I can do now. Plus, the kid will probably keep on nagging me to hang out with him. I shrugged. 'What harm can he do?' I looked down at my phone. 'Why not? I can defend myself.'
