The Feelings That Never Left

   His foot stomped into a puddle as he ran quickly down the sidewalk. It was raining pretty hard which caused the moon to reflect brightly in each puddle of water.

The electric blonde felt water soaking into his socks, but currently didn't care because right at this moment something far more important happened.

After going through years of highschool and becoming a hero he finally realized..

He was in love with his best friend.

The thought brought more tears to his eyes and he ran faster.

He needed to find Sero.

Soon enough he made it to where Sero was said to be patrolling that night.

He pushed his way through people, making sure to apologize as he looked left and right like a kid who lost his parents in the grocery store.

"Kami?"

He lightly gasped when he heard the oh so familiar voice behind him.

Sero must've been scouting above since he was able to travel high and low with his quirk.

He quickly turned around to see the other standing a few steps away in his hero suit and..

He always looked good in that damn thing.

Except the fact that his helmet covered his masculine face.

"You're crying, did something happen?"

Kaminari smiled and quickly walked closer to the other and reached his hands up.

He placed his palms against the helmet before pressing the small hidden button to cause the front to go up, revealing his confused expression.

Kaminari almost laughed at the other's face, but decided that'd br for another time.

"Kaminari..?"

Denki held tightly on the sides of the helmet and quickly pulled the other in close, slamming their lips together.

Sero made a small surprised noise at the action and tensed up, only to calm back down within seconds. He gently placed his hands on the smaller boys hips and tilted his head to deepen the kiss.

Moments later the blonde pulled away with shaky lips gazing up at the other.

He remembered when Sero had long hair, but a few months ago he decided to cut it and hell he'd be lying if he said it didn't look good.

His jawline was also more visible than it was when they met, but he was still the same Hanta Sero he knew.

"What are you doing out here without an umbrella, weirdo?" Sero chuckled out, hands still gently on the others hips.

"I needed to see you, Sero I-" Denki was interrupted by two soft fingers pressed to his lips.

"My shift just ended, I'm gonna take you home and make sure you don't get sick." The black haired male removed his fingers and gently took the other's hand, pulling him towards the Hero Agency they both worked at.

After arriving at the building and letting Sero get changed into casual attire, they made it back to Kaminari's apartment.

He felt cold although Sero lended him an extra jacket, but also his anxiety was through the roof.

He kissed the other earlier out of nowhere and was starting to feel a bit embarrassed.

They hadn't talked much since they left the town square which made him bite his lip nervously as he sat on his couch, waiting for Sero to come back with a blanket.

Maybe kissing Sero out of the blue wasn't a really good idea.

He lightly jumped when he felt Sero wrap the blanket over his shoulder, causing the other to chuckle.

"You feelin' alright?" The raven haired male placed his hand on his forehead. "It was stupid of you to be in the rain in a tank-top."

Kaminari let out a whine, "How many times are you gonna talk about that? I already said I wasn't really thinking when I ran out."

Sero let out a sigh and shook his head. "You're pretty stupid."

"Oh shutup, i wasn't the one who got tied up with their own quirk last week." He pouted and pulled the blanket fully around his body, bringing his knees to his chest.

"Hey! You were the one who collided into me!" Sero laughed out, that memory was pretty funny for both of them.

Kaminari leaned back into the couch and chuckled lightly.

Sero always put him in a good mood.

"Hey Kami?"

He turned his head to look at the other leaning against the arm of the couch. "Yeah?"

"Why'd you kiss me?" The question made his own cheeks flush as he gazed at the blonde.

"Uh-" He turned away, cheeks heating up. "Well.." He let out a sigh. "I like you... Like alot.." He mumbled.

It was silent for a moment before Sero spoke again, "Uh.. For how long?"

He bit his lip, "Um since our second year in highschool.."

"Since highschool?! And you're telling me now?!"

"I was scared!" Kaminari turned to face the other male again.

Sero face palmed himself. "I can't believe I could've dated you back in highschool!"

"Wait- If you liked me back in highschool you could've asked me out too!"

"I had a pretty good reason not to!"

"And that is?"

"You showed no signs of being gay and you flirted with girls everyday and you got crushes on only girls every other week."

Kaminari opened his mouth to speak, but closed it, realizing he couldn't argue with that. He never came out as anything, he always thought he was straight and tried to tell himself that his feelings for Sero weren't anything. Which he regretted now.

"But I guess I could've took the risk though." Sero shifted his gaze to the small coffee table and let silence take over.

After neither of them spoke for a bit, Kaminari decided to just go for it again. He pushed himself up and pressed his lips against Sero's.

He could tell it surprised him, but soon enough a hand was pressed onto his hip and one on his cheek. He smiled into the kiss when Sero leaned in.

This felt right.

And he wished he would've told him sooner.
