In class, all he could think about was how he treated Tory. He wanted to apologize, even though he thought she probably wanted nothing to do with him now. Regardless, he still wanted to get to know her. During lunch, he asked one of his friends, Kennedy, if he knew anything about Tory.

"You mean that girl you whacked this morning?" he asked.

Victor nodded.

"Dude, she's a freak. The girl can't dress normal for one day in her life. I don't even think she's ever worn a dress before."

He was clearly talking about her fashion attire.

"Is that the only thing?" asked Victor, hoping for some more information.

"Man, she is an antisocial freak. Look over there. All she does is sit on computer and play games on it. Randy told me that, in gym, she can't even throw a ball to save her life and runs like a hog. I think she has only been here since last year, so that's all I know, dude."

"Ah." mumbled Victor, as he averted his attention over to Tory. Now that he thought of it, she did sit alone, almost always. There would be an occasional person checking up on her, but most of the time it was just Tory and empty seats. Now, his whole table was staring Tory, talking about how ugly and what a freak she was. Victor did not agree with any of that. He thought she looked lovely. Sure, she would not be considered "hot" among his ex girlfriends and female friends, but she was not as hideous as they put her out to be. So, for the first time, Victor actually became annoyed with their degrading. "Can you guys knock it off, for once?" Victor blurted out.

The six other guys and three girls turned to him, all confused and trying to hold back a laugh.

"What are you talking about, Vic? When did you care about what we had to say?" asked Dekota.

"Don't tell me that freak knocked a few screws out of your noggin." said Chris with a laugh.

"No, it's just- She isn't that bad. I had to walk her to the nurse and she seems like a chill person." said Victor.

Everyone laughed.

"You're telling us she's more chill than us? Why don't you go hang with her if that's the case." said Tyler with a laugh.

The others laughed along.

"Hey, I know. Let's all make a bet to see if Vic can score a date in bed with her. I think he might be her type." said Will.

"Shit dude, I'm laying down fifty bucks on him nailing her." said Chris, pulling out fifty dollars from his pocket and laying it on the table. "Who's calling it a bust?"

"I will, but I only got forty." said Randy.

"Deal." replied Chris, shaking hands with Randy.

The other guys started doing the same until they were all paired on their bets. The three girls were laughing and siding with some of the guys, adding to the money pile.

"No- no- no-! I'm not going to do that. I don't mess with girls like that." said Victor, now becoming angry.

Most of the guys made disappointed groans and noises, but Kennedy was not going let it go that easily.

"Guys wait, let's keep the bets going for now. Maybe Vic might change his mind." said Kennedy.

"Yeah, dude if you ever change your mind, all you need to do is get her to go on a date with you, and see if you can get her in bed with you. You don't even have to stay with her. Just get a one night score and you can get half of the money betted between us." said Chris.
