You Should Have Closed Your Window

It was a lazy friday and I was sitting on my bed, it had become dark and a little chilly but I was too busy playing minecraft on my laptop to get up and close it. It was beginning to tick down to four in the morning and I felt fatigue wash over me. I had gotten up early today anyway.

I decided to tell everyone bye and log off, I shoved my laptop under my bed and snuggled deeply underneath the covers. I closed my eyes and dozed off quickly.

I was awoken a little while later by the sound of heavy breathing. I could feel it on my ear, in, and out.

I could smell the breath, a cross of rotten eggs and blood.

I could feel it running it’s fingers up and down my sides whispering softly into my ear “you should have closed the window” the next thing I know, I’m being lifted by an invisible force and I am flung back against the wall, being forced to stare at the horrendous creature, it had an alligators tail, the feet of an eagle, long and powerful legs that had fur and a human torso. My eyes traveled up to the head and I had to stifle a gag.

The creature had no face but eyes drawn onto him in blood and a frown drawn with blood, like a child would draw when they feel sad. My attention was soon directed to the huge claws that looked like the ones from those weird Lemur’s. He ran one of his claws along my cheek before whispering to me once more: “You should have closed your window” the last thing I remembered was the horrid smell of blood and rotten eggs then the feeling of nothing.

And now I’m here, telling you this.

        Shut your window.

         He’s coming.

        Don’t look behind you.

        But he’s already there.

I guess I’ll be seeing you in hell.
