~chapter twenty-six~

Crystals POV
Finally am awake and nothing could make me more happier. I woke up to the sound of Amore and Eric playing a game on Eric's phone. They were very happy and confused since it was unexpected. I might have been unconscious but my mind wasn't.. I was aware of everything happening around me so I remember everything Eric said to me or anyone else. Everything that happened came back to memory and was happy that finally everything was going to be OK. I was to be discharged today from the hospital but I would be using a wheelchair for sometime.

I decided to visit Abby before leaving. She was still not awake and I was getting very worried
Sitting beside her bed I decide to talk to her just everyone did with me
"hey Abby, I don't know if you can hear me but I just want you to know that I have forgiven you. I know it wasn't your fault and you tried to make things right so please wake up"
Before I knew it her hand twitched and her eyes slightly opened.
"OMG you are awake! Let me call the doctor"
"she's waking up!! " I shouted
Everyone came rushing in, the doctor, Eric and my brother. Her parents they hadn't visited in a long time.
She was given water while the doctor was checking her vitals. His face showed a deep sense of worry but I didn't want to question it.
"Crystal?", she called for me.
"Abby how are you?" I asked
"Crystal take care of my baby"
"your baby, I don't understand"
But before she could reply her vitals started acting up again and there was complete commotion as everyone was chased out of the room and nurses came rushing in.
We waited outside for what seemed like hours but it was only minutes. finally the doctor came out. He had some explaining to do.
"is she alright?"was my first question.
"she is back to her former state maybe even deeper"
"I don't understand please explain everything" that was Eric asking.
"Well luckily she is just back into a comer cause that's the best we could do. She could be there for a long time maybe until the baby is born. "
The baby??
"we didn't know that she was pregnant. How far along is she? Is the baby going to be affected? Will she wake up when the baby is born?"
"she is about 2 months pregnant, the baby will not be affected as long as the vitals are steady and she gets the nutrients she needs through the IVs  then the baby will be healthy but there is no guarantee of her waking up when the baby is born. You can either pull the plug now and lose both or just leave it and have guarantee of the baby in the next seven months." the doctor explained.

"no we are not pulling any plug. What ever the results we are not pulling the plug. She has given me the responsibility of taking care of her baby and I don't mind. That was her last wish before she went into the comer and I will fulfill it whatever the cost. Doctor just do all you can for us."

"I will do everything in my power."
"when last where her parents here" I was wondering why they neglected her.
"after we told them she was pregnant they didn't look too happy and walked away. That's the last we saw of them" the doctor replied.
"OK thank you very much" looks like I may have to pay them a visit.
Today's events put everyone in a shocked state. She was the last person we expected to be pregnant. One question nobody asked was who was the father. Was it Justin or someone we didn't know of?
