Ch. 6: The Truth Behind Aikoa and Akia

This is the shortest chapter of my fan fiction. There will be an epilogue, but this is the last CHAPTER. Farewell, until I publish the next book.

Aikoa and Akia have been acting weird lately. Almost as if they are purposely trying to separate themselves from Lilith and me. I must confront them tonight.

"Aikoa, Akia, why are you acting so weird?" I ask them when I have them sit on the couch.

"What do you mean?" Aikoa asks.

"You're separating yourself from Lilith and me." I confront them.

"You know that we're not from this world right?" They ask me.

"Yes..." I reply confused.

"Well, we, have abilities, abilities that let us... "Jump" between universes. We can only be in a universe for a certain amount of time. This time is set upon jumping to the universe and just before entering the universe.  We also chose what happens, and how fast time passes." Akia tells me.

"What if you die?" I asked, knowing it was a stupid question. They wouldn't be here if they died.

"If we are killed in a universe, we are sent immediately back to a place we call the Hubworld, or 'the Hub' for short. and yes, it has happened before." Aikoa says. "We have the ability to 'Lockdown' a universe. this keeps us from going to it until we unlock it. We have to do this sometimes because we don't choose what universe we go to. It chooses for us. Each available universe is listed with a number. Currently, the numbers are through 45. This universe happens to be universe 29."

"It's in these other universes that we have learned certain skills. Some sound stupid, but they help us sometimes. One of which is that we can play music." Akia says.

"Do you have any violins around?" Aikoa asks.

"Maybe," I say to them. I will check for violins later.

"Come back with a couple of violins and we'll show you our skill," Akia says

I managed to get 2 violins. I bring them to Aikoa and Akia.

"How's this?" I ask them as I hand them the violins.

"Perfect. Let's see if we still got it, shall we, Akia?" Aikoa asks Akia

"We shall" Akia replies. They put the violins up to their necks and start playing.

People begin to gather at the door.

"Such beautiful music," one says.

"Yeah," Another agrees.

After they are done playing, everyone disperses, but not before giving applause.

"Wow. You can really play" Lillith compliments them.

"Thanks. We decided that we have to play at least once for every universe we visit"

"What?" Lilith asks. They continued to explain what they explain to me.

"Our time in this universe has come to an end and we must leave soon. We did not intend on staying as long as we already have. we must leave within the next to days, or this universe will destroy itself. Being a "Jumper" is a hard thing." Aikoa and Akia state to us.

The next day we all say our goodbye and we see them disappear from our world in a poof of blue dust.
