I feel cold and wet. I open my eyes. Sunflowers tower over me. Swaying in the warm gentile breeze. I sit up, I'm laying on the wet soil of a sunflower patch. I'm starving and my body feels so heavy. I reach to touch my head, it really hurts. Slowly I get to my feet, and I start walking out of the patch. I walk up a hill and reach the end. I look over the field of crops what might be owned by a farmer. I look around, nothing looks familiar. I feel disoriented. Where am I? Who am I? How'd I get here? I turn around and see a big house. A light is on in the house, someone must be home. Maybe they could help me! I walk towards the house that seems miles away. I drag my feet, I have no energy.
After what seemed like forever I reach the house. It's a beautiful sky blue, and it looks like its been standing for years. I walk up the white stairs that lead to the door. I ring the door bell hoping someone answers. The song echoes through what seems an empty house. I look back to the sunflower patch. I see a beautiful sunset over the hilly terrain. The sky is different shades of pink, orange and purple. I hear the door start to open.
A short, young lady opens the door. She has her blonde hair up in a perfect bun. She's drying her hands on a beat up, old towel. Her dress is well protected by a homemade apron. She probably is in her late thirty's. Her green eyes light up and a bright smile goes across her face. I can't help but to smile back. "May I help you?" she asked. I ended up talking without thought. "Well, good afternoon, I'm...well I would like to ask you, where am I?" For a second she looked at me funny, then convinced herself to reply. "Well you're in the town of Kolasas, Kansas!" (not a real place) I'm shocked, how'd I get here!?! My head starts to spin, and everything turns black.
