Liking Players on Rival Clubs

So here I am back on my bullshit, but I feel like this should be something that should be addressed considering there's sometimes drama over this???

So I admit, I used to talk a lot of shit about a certain group of fans that absolutely loved players from their rival club. Honestly, I was just annoyed with how much they were obsessing over a player I have loved for awhile. I didn't get their whole logic.

But honestly, who cares? Who the frick cares whether you like a player from rival clubs or not? You always always always should put your club first and support your club first. There is no doubt about that, but you're allowed to admire players from other clubs. You just should not say something bad about that one player and then turn around and say how much you love him.

Football is about enjoying the game and how players play the game. Yes, the team you support is always a big part of it, but sometimes, you can't help but stare at certain players in awe.

The thing is, it pissed me off when someone told me that I was "disrespecting City" for my love of Ben coming from someone who doesn't even support City. How the hell is that disrespecting my club? It's not like he's my all time favourite player, because KDB is still my all-time favourite. Am I not allowed to like young talent?

Yes, Liverpool is a big rival of City, but I don't hate any of their players (except that snake James Milner). They have amazing players, and I respect that. I've loved watching TAA come up the way he has! It's been incredible! The only reason I hate them is because of how nasty and mean their supporters have gotten.

Hell, I'm a lowkey Madridista, but I still like some Barca players, because I liked them before I decided to side with Real. You think that's ridiculous, I think it's okay. Enjoy the beautiful game.
