Nothing really happened once Akiko was released from the hospital. Their friends would take shifts to make sure Akiko stayed safe. Now it was Logan's shift. Logan tried to help Akiko, but he had little experience with helping others. Akiko tried to make Logan watch TV or text his boyfriend, but he got really anxious so Akiko ended up watching Supernatural with him. B was sitting on the couch seat next to Logan and fawning over him like he was a puppy. "Aww, he's so adorable and anxious! Can we keep him?" "We already have three gay people and a bisexual. We don't need another gay person." Nile sighed. "You can never have too many gays, Nile." True that, B. B smiled at Akiko and Akiko's lip twitched into a smile. Logan noticed and looked at them. "You like this scene, too? I watch it on repeat sometimes." "I think you watch it on repeat because you think Dean looks hot." Logan's face reddened and Akiko laughed.

The alarm on Akiko and Logan's phones went off. They checked it and saw that it was time for Akiko to try to use their legs. Logan paused the TV on a very flattering picture of Dean and when Akiko smirked he hurriedly paused it on a different scene. "Alright, let's go." Logan got up and started to pull them towards their office. Akiko protested and leaned away from the office. "If you don't want to do it, then get up and walk away." Akiko stopped for a moment, then put their hands on the armrest. "Alright." Logan stopped and looked at Akiko. "What are you doing?" "Walking." they said simply." "W-what? No! It was a joke. I was joking!" Logan moved over to the side of their chair. "I really don't want to drive you to the hospital right now." "You won't have to." Akiko began to lift theirself off of the chair unsteadily with their arms. "Take my legs and put them on the ground." Akiko ordered. Logan hesitated before obeying. He worriedly wrapped an arm around Akiko's middle to support them. Akiko's leg slowly moved forward and they started to put weight on it. Akiko, Logan, and B laughed out in relief. "They're doing it, N! They can walk!" B cheered and jumped up and down. N adjusted his glasses and tried to hide his small smile. Logan grinned widely at Akiko. "I guess I'm the first person to see your second first steps." Akiko laughed. "Yeah." They took another step forward and collapsed.

"Damn it!" Akiko growled as Logan picked them up and set them back in the chair. "It's okay. You still did good." "Not good enough. I can't even take two damn steps. I feel like a fucking child." Akiko huffed and leaned back in their chair. Logan frowned and left to get a cloth to wipe the sweat off of Akiko's face. N picked up a piece of paper and began to examine it as B walked over to Akiko. "Hey. Don't be too hard on Logan. He just wants to help. You yelling at him isn't nice. Tell him thanks." You're right, B. I shouldn't put my anger out on him. "Oh, and it's Brittany." What is? "My name." Brittany smiled and disappeared. Logan came back into the room and started to wipe Akiko's forehead. "Hey, Logan." "Yes?" "Thank you." Logan smiled at them. "You're very welcome."
