Angel sighed as she sat on my lap, her claimed spot. I felt comfortable, her body attached to me, her head resting on my chest.

Angel was satisfied in seeing me come undone, but she did make me promise her something more later tonight at home. She had a few days to herself and she deemed it necessary for us to spend it in bed thrashing and getting to know each other...

It sounded nice though...just me and Angel. I smiled, my body relaxing and feeling the stress that had accumulated from the weeks without her.

In the soft passing of seconds, because it felt so peaceful, we were both taken back when the door opened to have a surprising interruption.

😇

The leader of Cloud9 raised her eyebrows as her eyes dashed to Angel and me. She sighed, she looked at Angel who covered me.

"Eden...don't look at him." Angel's eyes narrowed down at her leader, her eyes in a fiery blaze.

"Oh...goodness gracious...", Eden looked at me before she went to Angel and seeing her possessive nature sprout up. "I can't believe you did it. I thought you were going to wait."

"I couldn't okay." Angel shrugged as she smugly smiled. She was proud of herself. She sat down on my lap again and I froze, my eyes shaking.

"Uh...Angel?", but I was ignored.

"Of course you couldn't. You—impatient." Eden sighed, her hips jutting out as she stared down at Angel who was now sitting on me. I didn't know where to put my hands as I awkwardly kept them up. "And you...you were doing so well."

"What?" I blinked. Was she talking to me?

Eden sighed, "I guess you waited till she was legal. I can't even complain."

"Huh?" I was so confused. Did she know about us?

"Eden...leave him alone. Stop it. If you're going to be mean, go away." Angel pouted.

"Angel leave." Eden ignored the younger's complaint. It was most likely because Eden was much too used to it.

"No, why?" Angel complained her arms wrapping around me even tighter, much like a snake.

"Angel," Eden snapped, her eyes serious.

"Angel..." I called out to her, my hands gently prying her away. "Go, your leader and I should talk."

"Ugh, no!" I stayed still. She was right. I needed to talk to the leader of Cloud9, just as she had something to say to me. "Fine," Angel huffed as she pushed herself forcibly away and out side. As she passed the leader, she said, "don't ruin this for me, Eden. I won't forgive you."

Eden sighed as Angel slammed the door behind her. The silence consumed us and it gave us peace.

"Eden," I began but she stopped me.

"I knew about her feelings for you." I could feel my eyes shake in fear. Eden was kind of intimidating, but she was dependable and strong—a good older figure for Angel. "I knew from the moment she saw you. She's pretty transparent. So are you, Director Jung."

"I...I..."

"I know she pushed you." She stood on her two feet in a confident stance, her eyes watching me with caution. "Probably...led you, forced you, gave you an ultimatum...right?"

"Would you like to sit?" I pointed to the meeting table before a shake of a head shot my offer down.

She shook her head.

"No. I don't really like you, Director Jung, mainly because Angel loved you so much." Her eyes never left mine. And I could not say anything, allowing her to speak. "Angel is a beautiful girl, she's sweet, and kind, loving...but she loved you...only you."

I kept my silence.

"You're attractive. Yeah...but you're what, eight...nine years older than her and had a fiancée—at least at that time." Eden continued, her voice not cruel nor gentle. "To be honest I don't know if it's good that you accepted her now. I don't know."

"My..." I wanted to tell her my feelings are real, true.

"Please just listen. Angel, during these past years, she's only looked at you, wanted you, and cared for you. And I saw her during those times that Angel cried because of you. I saw her cry—so painfully, because of you. She didn't even cry when anti-fans cursed and slandered her name, spread those lies. She cried because of you—though it stopped recently, probably because of the progress in your relationship with her."

"I didn't know that..."

"No, you don't know a lot of things. But I can't blame you for your decision to push her away too. You were—in your own way—protecting her. And I'm grateful for that."

Eden's eyes looked at me. Eden sighed...her lips pressing together and twisting together in thought.

"Knowing Angel, and how stubborn she is, you're going to be in her palms, and I'll have to accept you as my baby sister's...older lover. Just, you should know better than me, that you need to keep your relationship with her secret. At least until the end of Cloud9."

Eden looked at her phone which had chimed.

"That all I had to say. Please do be careful with...this relationship." Eden bowed before moving to leave, the steps of her gentle footsteps loud in my mind. "I won't forgive you if you hurt Angel."

"Thank you." I blurted out. She turned around her body almost completely out of the room and waited, her face neutral. "Eden, thank you for taking care of her..."

"Mm," she sighed after considering me, "you're hateful Director Jung...you're too nice and I hate that. It's hard to hate you, when you're a good person." As she kept the door only half opened, Eden turned toward me bowing in respect, "thank you, and please take care of her."

With the door opened, both Eden and I culd see Angel who had been lingering too closely to the door—most likely to try to eavesdrop. Angel gave us a meek smile for getting caught.

Eden tutted Angel. "And you—don't bother the Director."

"I'm not bothering him." Angel huffed as she entered the office again. "Am I?"

Angel turned to me with a pout. She had a puppy face that rivaled Jimin—the original.

"No," I smiled unable to not get weak at Angel's sweetness.

"See...", she giggled as she stood next to me.

Eden sighed, "Angel we have a short meeting at 2 o'clock. Don't be late. And Director Jung has work to do."

"Bye Eden!" Angel cheered as Eden left with the door shut behind her.

Then it was just us.

"Where were we?" Angel turned to me with a smile as a hurdle was easily jumped. I hoped that other hurdles were easily battled as this one, but with Angel it would be fine.

😇
