Chapter 1

Alice...

"Day 20" muttered my companion, looking around the small and shabby diner. I rolled my eyes before allowing my eyes to have another sweep of the place, he was defiantly not here, nor were there any signs that he would show anytime soon. I would have a better vision if my best friend would be somewhat agreeable. It is her soul mate we're waiting for, after all. A fact she is well aware of.

"Relax Bella" I said turning back in my stool to face her. I knew this man, wherever he is now, would eventually show up in this cafe, I've seen it after all, what I see is never set in stone, but there futures have always been merged together, after we meet him. "He will be here"

"You've said that for near enough a month Alice" Bella was getting agitated, shoving a piece of hair behind her ear, frowning at me. Normally she was a really fun person to be around, sitting in the same cafe for a month, not knowing exactly what her soul mate looked like, was putting a damper on her spirits. I glanced at the clock.

"Tell you what" leaning closer so the waitress couldn't hear me, "if he isn't here in 10 minutes, we'll call it a night. Just please trust me, the waiting will be worth it"

"Alright, 10 minutes. I've never bet against you Alice" I nodded back at her and looked down at my cold coffee, that's when the vision hit me....

The diner door opened, there he stood, I could tell it was today, with the weather and the customers in the vision. The tall, blonde, scarred up man I'd seen at least a dozen of times before, stood there looking for somewhere to sit...I look at the clock in the vision......

I nudge Bella in the ribs with my elbow.

"Get ready, Bella" I said turning for what seemed the hundredth time today. "He'll be here in 3....2...."

The door opened before I could say one, Bella was staring at him with her mouth hanging with what seemed like lust in her usual golden eyes, before she could say anything I jumped off of my seat, and walked over to him. He stared in shock, probably not expecting to run into any vampires, especially in a diner.

"You've kept us waiting long enough" I said while placing my hand on my hip while gesturing with my head towards Bella, he looked towards her his mouth hanging open, before he composed himself, then looked back at me.

"I'm sorry ma'am" ducking his head like the southern gentleman he his.

Bella...

We've been sitting in this same diner for near enough a month now, a month I've had my hopes up, a month been around the annoying waitress, I don't want to get my hopes up anymore, just for them to be shattered everyday....

But that all changed, when Alice had a vision and told me he would be here in a couple of seconds. When he walked through the door, there were no words that could explain how I was feeling; he was the most gorgeous man I have ever seen.

Alice jumped off of her seat and walked straight up to him, he looked down at her a bit shocked.

"You've us waiting long enough" She told him in her chirpy voice, while nodding her head in my direction. I had my elbows on the counter looking straight towards him. He followed her direction, soon as he saw me his jaw went slack, it took him a few seconds to compose himself, till he looked back towards Alice.

"I'm sorry ma'am" he told with a southern twang that made me go all fuzzy.

I jumped off of my seat and walked over to them.

"I'm Alice" she told him while extending her hand for him to shake, he looked towards me after shaking Alice's hand. "Isabella Swan" I told him while extending my hand, as soon as my hand touched his it was like an electric current passed through me. "I prefer Bella"

"Jasper" He told me while staring at me "Jasper Whitlock" I've eared of him before, the most feared vampire in our world. No wonder he's got all those scars, but I can't find it in myself to fear him, but looking at Alice she's a bit afraid. "Alice snap out of it will you"

"I.. I'm sorry" Alice stuttered, I've never heard a vampire stutter before.

"I think we should take a seat" I told them both while ragging Alice back to our table with Jasper following behind.

"I guess you've heard of me then" Alice nodded her head while I told him "Yes"

"Can I ask you a question why is it only Alice that feels afraid?"

"Honestly, for some strange reason, I can't bring myself to fear you, it's strange" I answered honestly. "Fair enough, but you've both heard my story, what's yours?" He asked me and Alice, I know she doesn't like talking about her past but surely she saw him wanting to know our past.
