grandma used to tell me
the grass would be greener
wherever i watered it
i now notice how
some people don't even bother
to water their grass
some just paint the grass green
to create the illusion
that the grass is healthy
i am trying to pick up the slack
i try to water the grass
of the people who forget to
(it's not so much a chore
as it is heartbreaking
to see such unkept grass)
