It was summer 2013, my family brought me to their hometown.

I met a girl—a beautiful nice girl.

I was just 10 back then, but I know something's different from my sexuality. I know, I'm not the same with those girls in our school who admires cute guys.

I once asked myself, "Is this just a phase?" but my heart kept on saying the opposite.

We became close that it feels like she also likes me. I know she's straight, but my hopes get higher and higher everyday we see each other.

"Hey Sari, Let's see each other tomorrow again." And then she moved forward and gave me a peck in my cheeks. It was late afternoon that day that's why we said our goodbyes.

I was really looking forward for tomorrow so I woke up very early. I saw my mom packing our things. I was confused.

"Aalis na tayo Sari. Babalik na tayo sa Manila." Mom said smiling.

No. I don't want to go back to the city. I want it here. I want it here with her.

But I just don't know what to do that time so I just followed what my Mom told me.

And from that day, I never saw her again.
