Chapter 4 Bonds Broken

Pov-Roxas     Area- Misc. District.     Time- Morning

As we run we hear metal clash and feel the wind burst all over. Adolf speaks as we hear a shockwave that destroys the windows around us."We've got to get up there! Sienna can't really take Mal on. I bet Mal is holding back."

"Either way, we've got to- " Rhei is cut off by another shockwave that destroys the buildings and blows all of us-even Adolf- on our backs. With everything out of the way, I realize we're at the edge of the district. I see a stretch of forest and Sienna is standing in the way of Mal.

"Sienna...just get out of my way. You can't beat me."

"SHUT UP! I don't need to beat you. I just need to stop you."

"You can't do that either. You're not on my level Sienna. Just give up. Abandon this mission of yours before you find yourself in a position that you can't go back from."

"I don't care. You're skilled, BUT I WON'T GIVE UP!!" Sienna charges with another punch that Mal blocks, sending a shockwave back on us. Rhei looks stunned. "I've never seen Sienna get so strong before. I had a theory that her emotions were tied to her strength. She gets furious in a fight and her strength is above everyone but Mal. When she's chilled or even happy her strength is on par with Adolf. Least we know that's confirmed." Sienna jumps back as Mal throws her rope dart up at a tree. "You need to calm down Sienna. You've already destroyed most of this sector. You should have waited to start a fight." Sienna huffs and looks around. She gasps at the destruction as she looks back to Mal.
"This is your fault! If you'd just taken the hit instead of running away like a coward this wouldn't have happened!" Mal swings onto the tree and begins to run through the forest. Sienna shouts, "AFTER HER!" We all spring into action and run for the forest. We run among the trees barely keeping up with Mal. "How is she so fucking fast?" We get to the end of the forest where there's a swamp and Mal stands in the center. We all attempt to surround her, weapons drawn.

"I suggest you all give up right now. I don't want to hurt you." Sienna charges without signalling any of us. This time she's stopped by a vine from the water. Then I hear a familiar voice. "Did you truly believe that I would die so easily?" More vines appear and we're all surrounded. Mal looks surprised by this. "Zurketh?"

"Yes Child, I am here. My apologies for taking for so long to repair the damages." Then from the swamp water he rises with Mal atop him. "Do not concern yourself with these humans. I'll hold them off."
"Alright Zurketh, but try not to kill." She jumps to a nearby tree and disappears into the shadows. Sienna gets enraged. "Dammit! Roxas, I thought you killed him!"

"I did!"

"Yes, you did. However unlike you humans a dragon can be reborn if given the right environment."

"Oh come the fuck on!" Sienna breaks free and jumps at Zurketh and he blocks her punch.

"We can't waste time here. Whatever they're trying to do we have to stop them. Roxas, take Sienna and go for the captain. We'll hold off Zurketh." I run into the trees and call for Sienna as she instantly punches off of Zurketh onto a tree and rushes forward. "None shall disturb the child!" Vines shoot up as I cut them with my shield. We run along the path as I hear Zurketh roaring in the distance. We arrive at a temple. "I had no idea this was even here..."

"Another secret she kept from us." Sienna charges into the temple into a shrine with a giant statue of a man with Mal kneeling in front of it
She stands. "I was hoping you would simply give up. But you are truly persistent Sienna. However what about you Roxas? What drives you to try to stop me?"

"Well, You don't seem to care for this island. What are you trying to do exactly?"

"Perform a ritual. I'm going to awaken the god of this Island. He'll fix the land and keep it protected from the Arians while I set out for Galdur."

"So you are trying to conquer the regions."

"There's a difference between conquer and unite Roxas. I hope you can see which is which."

"ENOUGH! I'm bringing you in,whether you come quietly or not is your choice Mal."

"Very well." She waves her hand and suddenly everything goes black.
