Bling!
This is a sound I hate to hear: it means there's just one more problem with school on top of everything else. I refuse to look at it.
"Gray, you kinda have to," a deep male voice says in my head. This voice, links to one of my personalities, who I don't even call personalities, but friends: Spencer.

"I don't," I respond. "I have 48 hours that I can spend in peace."

"It's your choice, I mean, being proactive is the way to go with school. And remember? Your mom said if you get all good grades these 4 weeks, you can get your acrylic nails redone? And believe me, that's not what I want, but I want you to have a fut.."

BEEP, BEEP, BEEP!

I jump, and I hear some members of the systems feet fall to the ground.

"WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?!" I yell.

"If you weren't paying attention, it was the Amazon Echo behind you," Spencer replies. "I totally saw that coming."

"How?" I ask.

"I saw it light up. Remember, with us, it's almost like you have eyes in the back of your head!"

"Whatever," I sigh, adrenaline still rushing through the body's veins. "Last time I checked you only can see through my eyes."

"Ever heard of out-of-body experiences?"

"Well yeah," I say. "But I didn't know you had them."

"We all do," Spencer says, being a smartass.

I get on my phone and tap the whole conversation into a Wattpad story.

"Wait....." Spencer says. "Why are you writing this down?"

"Because I want to," I say.

"You.... aren't gonna publish it, right?" Spencer says, worried.

"Oh no, I will," I respond. "Now that you guys aren't so dormant anymore, I need to keep myself in order of events so I don't get amnesia."

"But you really don't have to publish it," Spencer says.

"Oh no, it'll also make an interesting book."

"Do you have Alzheimer's already?" Spencer asks.

The Amazon Echo bleeps again. This time, we are not surprised.

"It's my moms phone," I say. "Also no."

"I'm guessing you forgot what happened the last time you wrote one of these risky books!" He says.

"No, I didn't forget," I say. "But, it helped me keep order."

"It also ended you up with an IEP for a bunch of fucked up shit!" Spencer replies angrily. "And now you have a light IEP. You know why? Because you worked out of it. Without us.... most of the time. Do you really want to get out back on that heavy one?"

"That was all Regina and Moth. All them," I say, agitated.

My mom walks into the room. She has a doctors appointment, and she's saying goodbye.

"One second," I tell Spencer.

"Obviously," he says in a snobby tone.

"Alright, Gray. I'm off to the doctor," Mom says.

"Aight, sounds good!" I respond. We hug, and my mom grabs her keys.

"Be in class on time," my mom says. "Also, clean up your bathroom. It's disgusting."

"Clean?!" A British female voice says. This is the voice of Chantel Renee Bernal. She has OCD, and everything must be in tip top shape. She hasn't even seen my bathroom, though, for she has been dormant for a month.

"Yes, Chantel," I sigh, as my mom is out the door. "You don't even want to see it I assure you."

"Hnnnng!" I groan, as my body swings toward the bathroom.

"I'm seeing this," Chantel says. I can't still see, but it's more blurry and my body is moving involuntarily. I am cocon.

"Dude!" I exclaim. "We have 5 minutes until..."

I am interrupted by Chantels screaming.

"I LEAVE FOR A MONTH, AND THIS?!" She screams, as the body begins to shake. The body, which has Chantel's control, is having a panic attack.

"Whoa, whoa whoa!" A deeper female voice yells. It's Aria, the Protector, and who keeps order of the rules and whoever breaks them, will be suspended.

The only exception of that is Regina Darkness, the self destructive alter, who I do not consider a friend at all. She has attempted to take my life at least 9 times. She has been expelled, and Aria's mission is to kill her. Although Regina can take over sometimes, she cannot take over all the time, for it take every ounce of her strength to actually take over. The steam system, my system, has done a good job keeping her away. But sometimes the best isn't enough.

"Alright, calm down Channy," Aria says softly. "It's ok..."

"This needs to get cleaned! NOW!" Chantel yells in anger.

The body's arms wrap around the torso. My vision goes even worse. I am almost fully dissociated. The left arm rubs the right shoulder, and the right rubs the left. The breathing goes down.

"Here's the deal, ok?" Aria says.

"What?....." Chantel sobs.

"Class is about to start for Gray. Go lay in your room, where it's nice, white, and clean. After class, we can go fix the bathroom. Ok?"

"M-Kay....." Chantel says calmly.

My vision improves. Chantel is gone.

"Good job Aria!" I laugh.

"I try my friend," Aria says. "Now get on. I'll let you work, and Spencer is going to control your hands. Good luck Gray!"

My vision is back to normal and I feel fully engaged for about five minutes.

"Hey Spencer?" I say.

"Before you come out, can I have a bathroom break?" I say.

"Do what you gotta do," Spencer says.
