As the glorious sun began to ascend into the horizon, the occupants of the Athens palace began to rise from their slumbers, and so the servants. The ocean blue eyes of the blonde-haired king snapped open as he heard a knock on the door to his bed-chamber before it was opened to reveal two chambermaids one of which was the servant who raised the young king since birth, and the other was the servant's daughter. Caius heard gentle footsteps patter across his bed-chamber floor before the curtain was drawn back allowing the light from the sun to fill the entire room.
"Good morning, my King," Diana greeted.
"Good morning, mother Diana," The young king responded combing a hand through his hair as he let out a yawn from his plump mouth.
Caius sat from his previous resting position and glanced to the side of him to noticed the little girl was still snuggled soundly into his side. Her face laid on his chest with her thumb placed into her mouth and her index finger was curled on the bridge of her nose cutely, although, her thumb did not stop the soft snores from escaping her full mouth. The blue-eyed boy gently stroked the little girl's messy hair and unwrapped the girl's arms from around him before he got out of the bed, smiling to himself as he pulls the cover over her small body.
As the servants kept themselves busy with cleaning the king's bed-chamber, Caius walked over the aluminum bathtub and began to strip out of his sleep gown before stepping into the tub filled with hot water laced with Lavander petals. Caius sighed as he dreaded the long busy days ahead of him, however, with him knowing that he had Akiah to go home to, it would make his days better. Today was going to be an especially busy day for the young king for many reasons, first, Caius had to take Akiah to the common hall for training to become a lady of the palace.
A lady of the palace was similar to a court lady ( female personal assistant attending on a royal woman or a high-ranking noblewoman), but in Akiah's situation, it is different as she is going to be a member of the royal family. The training was based on the age of the lady. At the time when the lady of the palace is old enough to be taught, she has to attend lessons about how to write and speak, along with establishing proper table etiquette.
At the age of eleven to fourteen, due to the fact that the child becomes a woman during this time, is taught how to present herself as an elegant and well-mannered lady.
At age fifteen to sixteen, the lady of the court is taught the art of seduction and prepares to fulfill the role of a housewife. Once the lady of the court completes all of her necessary training, she is able to be married to a bachelor, if and only if, the royal they are taking care of agrees to let them go, however, since the lady of the court served the royal their entire lives and viewed each other as best friends these situations rarely happened. Instead, the lady of the court would marry someone who is close to the royal family such as a nobleman.
